I CANT BELIEVE THERE ARE ONLY 5 EPISODES THIS IS AN AMAZING TV SHOW!!! BETTER THAN ANYTHING I WATCHED IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!! Can’t wait for season 2 or more episodes! So good omg!

I believe the low budget of this series helped the show more than harmed, especially regarding its simplicity. When was the last time you saw an entire fantasy story take place in a village? When we hear fantasy we always think of stories of large castles being taken by dragons and orphaned princesses that are not queens for some reason. The idea of a story just taking place in a small village is incredibly unique. Good job! I look forward to season 2.

The first five episodes were short, simple and straight to the point.. I was eager to watch one after the other. That's how it should be, one should not get bored watching longer episodes...thumbs up 👍👍

Found out about this after rewatching Born of Hope, was not disappointed. Very professional work, engaging story, lots of potential! In addition, it's quite nice to see an original work when all the TV fantasy seems to be concerned only with adaptations of established books these days. My only complaint is that it's too short, so I hope to see more of this some day! Cheers from Russia =)

Very good episode! Ren's father really proved his love for his children and earned my respect by his own sacrifice. Omg I hope Baynon and the fellow villager escape! I look forward to episode 6 and Ren's further adventures.

Amazon Prime is full of low quality, sub par films and series(we can all tell bad student film projects when see them) and this outstanding series wasn't picked up and funded. Keep it up, Kate! You have genuine talent.

I rewatched the LOTR prequels and saw Ren and I've instantly fallen in love! I can't wait for more episodes! As a film student it's amazing to see such good quality work done on a low budget and it's truly inspiring! I hope that I can one day be in, or direct, an equally good production. Brilliant work, thoroughly entertaining :)

I can think of the day when Indie production companies will provide not just a serious competition to the established large scale Hollywood production studies, but actually become a viable alternative to the mindless rehash of clueless, uninspired, talentless, and greedy producers of mainstream entertainment. I can see shows like Ren with its original ideas, help pave the way for such. Bravo!

I loved this, it surprised me in all ways possible. I love the cast, the characters, the costumes, the atmosphere and of course the story. It all ties together to give a feeling of a 'bigger world' outside what we see. I just have two questions: 1. When is season 2 coming out? I can't wait. 2. Is there still a way to support and get involved in Ren, other than by donations?

I am sort of glad I waited until all episodes where out before watching because I don't think I could have waited a week between each!! Looking forward to season 2. Hopefully the wait won't be as long as it was to get this season ;) Also, this may have been mentioned elsewhere and I missed it, but is there going to be an edit where all episodes are together? I would love to see it in its entirety without the 'previously on Ren' and credits as I think it would be much more immersive.

I wish I could've seen this sooner! I first came across Ren about 2-3 years ago, right after the crowdfunding campaign ended... It's such an intriguing story, I just keep coming back to it! Have you thought of, (or already done) the idea of writing it as a book or book series of some sort? I believe there are quite a few online platforms for writers, and I don't know about anyone else, but I would pay for a way to read the story. Re-reading my comment I guess it's a little silly, (as if you wouldn't think of the things I mentioned) so sorry for being such a captain obvious lol😅

Wonderful adventures and great storyline. This needs to continue. The writers need to keep the journey alive. The acting is very good and will grow with each addition. Excellent all the way around. Keep the adventure coming!

Ahhh!!! When will we get season 2???

How did I not know about this series until today? Regardless, I have pretty mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it's very well done, from the acting to the character writing to the production values. On the other hand, I'm disappointed with the pacing and structure. This whole first season was all setup and no payoff, with Ren not getting marked until the third episode and having almost no agency in her own story. The season as it is could have been compressed into two episodes, with the rest of the season developing into a more rounded arc. Again, I'm not saying that this series is badly made, but I am saying that this could have been written to be far more emotionally satisfying, especially since it's getting the audience invested in a story that, considering the low budget and the second season's crowdfunding campaign not reaching its goal, may not have a chance to get finished. With that said, if the second season ever comes to light, I'll be there.

As I hit the like button I had to laugh. I don't "LIKE" this story. I LOVE it. The first episode makes you fall in love with the characters. The rest make you want more and more. You become invested in their well being and wish you too could be part of this epic adventure. I pray you get the needed capitol to finish this gorgeous production. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to watching.

I have now just finished watching all of these episodes from beginning to end, and first of all, Bravo! I really enjoyed every minute and could easily see re-watching the series as it is that good. I would like however, if I may, to offer some criticism. Firstly, the choreography in the action scenes could use some work. I will not say that two seasoned combatants cannot face a small army by themselves, but many times the impacts weren't timed right and some moves used to dispatch the soldiers were, to be frank, awful. For having that much armor, I'd expect them to be able to survive attacks a good bit stronger than they were hit with. That is not to say that there were no good parts within the fights, though. Next, the commander of that army stood out like a sore thumb the entire time. His underlings I could believe to be some useless peasants in uniform, but as a commander, he lacks the intimidation factor and ferocity in battle that I think would be expected for someone of his caliber. And yes, he does have a booming voice with a good tone for his role, but his face is too soft, and his expressions don't always match what his character is supposed to be projecting out to the audience. You just don't feel the conviction in his character. Also back to the voice, maybe he was given too much dialogue, because during the finale at the execution, he sounded really preachy. I understand some of those lines needed to be said, so that we could understand what's going on in the story, but some of those lines I think could have been handed off to a town crier, or some other such. Now, to depart from the negative, I think all of the characters were very well suited for their roles. The girl who plays Ren, for instance, is a wonderful actress and performed her role masterfully. Also for as much as I criticized the commander, he is well placed in the story, and would be sorely missed if gone. The cloaked figure known, I think, as "The Master" is a great antagonist, so great that he outshines the commander as the main antagonist really, despite his short amount of screen time. In general, all of the characters are extremely believable, everyone is a real person and acts as such. There are no cliche heroes, or overly dramatic evil characters to cheapen the series. Lastly, I wish to acknowledge the more unnoticed things like the great storytelling, believable characters, costumes, and sets, as well as the camerawork and fantastic music. If you have the patience to read through all of this, then thank you for delivering such a great series, and congratulations on being able to really bring it to life. I am sure that I'm not alone in eagerly awaiting the next releases of your future work.
