eyo strompest, just hit diamond (after 5 years of platinum stuck) with a 61% winrate on ryze toplane; thx for all the helpful gameplay and itemization tips they helped me on my grind massively!! Loving the season right now, ryze feels actually strong right now!! On a sidenote; would have any advice on laning vs quinn/jayce? I have been running resolve/exhaust into those matchup coz I feel like they have so much killpressure on me, I can't seem to find setups that work well/I keep getting shoved in and poked down. Much love, keep up the great vids :D

Love the vids and tips as always! I've been trying full scaling runes (resolve secondary) with double scaling HP shards and going Liandry's 3rd instead. 4K HP at 3 items feels so nice. Thoughts on this build? Seems underrated/op to me. Also, I've been trying doran's ring start over tear, and it feels decent in some matchups where you might appreciate the early game HP. Do you think it's worth it or is tear start still the way to go?

I think tear start is just best for ryze, dorans doesnt provide any real value

We missed you king 🔥 Strompest, there is a crazy guy in Brazillian Challenger who only plays Ryze and he's using a FULL DAMAGE build every frickin game. He never buys RoA and almost never buys Zhonya's! I tried this build in Diamond and 1-Shot Very often with EWQ His ID: sad#RYZE (BR queue)

I suggest trying jaksho 3rd item on ryze with conditioning and overgrowth runes, makes you tanky enough to where the passive on ROA makes a huge difference in fights. You will also have 3k hp in the mid game and 4k hp by late game while still doing high damage per EQ in the late game.

io don't think you need ionian boots with the lost chapter buffs and getting a frozen heart if the match allows it and that soc just best now

Would frozen heart give you even more mana ontop of those 3 mana items already. And frozen isnt a terrible item to go on Ryze anyway vs like 3 ad champs.

Arcane is ok into matchups you can win early. allows you to pressure lane more but generally speaking movement speed is insane this season and phase rush is positionally better then arcane in my humble opinion.

he is still a caster minion 2024 they took ryze q and e spell the speed , the ap scaleing , the mana scaleing , took his ultimate that he would actual rly need!! nearfed cooldown of q e and w and of his new ultimate, and finaly nearfed all again after release of ROAD so and now you tell me he ist playable cuz Pro player on smurf accounts have done 1 good game and upload it XD i hope riot give this useless ult 15 min cooldown and buff the rest on a playable level

Dang thats op, but if its low economy game ionians still better. Def can see it being better in lower elos where gold can be more accessible compared to higher elos where its usually more controlled

This build seems pretty bad just build rabadons after arch angels instead for 700G more and have way more dmg.

700G is an extra recall like 60% of the time in my games. In your games does this factor seem to matter at all?

@@brotherlooselips raba has way better part items. Sitting in the raba waiting room with 120 ap from 2 nedlessly is almost as good as ludens companion but you are already on the way to a way better full item. Compare this in practice tool at around lvl 13. It already works there without counting in extra ap from gathering storm that obviously makes raba again even better. It is worth any recall timer in mid game.

@@StrompestMan zhonyas fckn sucks this season i hate it, because it costs so much gold now and you realistically only wanted it for the active. I feel like frozen heart is a way better alternative. It's obviously conditional but it's so much cheaper and you can get it so fast so that you can focus on next item. Happy to be proven wrong though.
