A Tattoo artist straight from the roots of Vietnam, Thao is well know across the world for his tattooing skills and being one of the main faces at Viet Monster Hood. A barber/tattoo shop with a chicano lifestyle added to it.

Hell yeah! Major props to Thao. Having that Mexican flag posted in his shop is a big sign of respect. For those acting like he's faking and stealing the Chicano culture by his ink or style, then let it be. Be happy that not only but other parts of the world are living this way of Mexican Chicano lifestyle. Only you know on what representing could get you in trouble if you're looking for it which I highly doubt that Thao will do. Just relax and enjoy this awesome video. Great job T2T😁🫡😎💯

I think what they are doing is cool 😎 👍🏼 Its a trip to see our culture (American, Chicano, California) spread worldwide. And to those people who think they are soft...let me remind you that they lived through a gnarly ass war just one generation ago. Im sure some of our uncles, fathers and grandfathers could tell us that the Vietnam people are tough and not to be fucked with. There is something about our culture that they identify with and I dig it.

First time out the country… First time holding a camera and shooting pictures and video… First time going to a random place I’ve never been (the crew was dope treated me like one of the boys) Pretty much my first time doing all this shit and being that far from my ppls. I don’t regret a thing and glad God blessed me with this opportunity. I agreed. Much the same as Thao here, I'm not Japanese in the slightest, yet I'm covered in Japanese letters and art. Why? Simple...I love Japanese stuff. 😂 I say keep up the good work and wear those tats with pride n joy...they look awesome. 🤘🔥🤙

@@tat2tales like if I wore a samurai outfit, but never received proper training. Without internet, they would not be wearing this. Would they walk down Florence …state? Aves? Van nuts Blvd..without having to explain they’re Instagram when they get hit up. I consider this a right of passage. Some of us had to make real decisions to wear or not wear this in the 90s, considering the consequences that come with. Have they been jumped by the gang across the wash..? Have they been banged on on an RTd? A lot comes with this warriors out fit. I can wear army pants all day does not mean I was ever in a trench getting shot at. …

@@Hezekiah1 they not claiming to be part of anything tho my boi… that’s the thing. They love the culture and appreciate it to the fullest. I actually went out there nothing was fake or off brand about it. Also the ink may look the same but means something different to them, rather then what you think it means here. I get what you seeing but gotta have an open mind about it not judge because you think the ink means what “YOU” think it means.
