it sucks that the god mythics were guns, like i get it's a shooting game, but come on, there werent no guns in greek mythology. Cerberus should've had wolvering claws, poseidon a trident that shoots water waves, zeus his normal mythic, and hades a big scythe

I miss when alternate styles of battle pass skins werent just mostly palette swaps. Not just that but i still hate that certain palette swaps/styles(alt clothing) were exclusive to one another(which was even more infuriating on superlevel styles).

Removing the season's main items for the sake of a collab was horrible. The battlepass skins barely having customization was horrible. The super styles were genuinely hideous on most skins. The huge overshadow of the season's theme over Avatar AND Star Wars right after was just terrible. I liked the season but I would be dumb to say it didn't have a lot of negatives that really brought it down. At least the new season is fun (for now)

Dang, people didn’t like this season? I haven’t really been super big on Fortnite for a while but this season hooked me. I thought the new locations were really awesome and as a huge avatar fan, that event was some of the most fun I’ve ever had with the game. Also, this is one of the first battle passes I actually bought for the last few seasons. Hopefully everybody enjoys the new season tho, and great video!

Chapter 5 season 2 week 1 and 2 was the hades and zeus mythics being added, then no content, week 5 or higher = star wars and avatar which were mid imo anyway. They're taking from chapter 2 and in the good ways and bad ways. But the bad ways means all content is basically dumped on season launch same as chapter 2

I feel this update will be remembered as one of the worst, dropping the theme midway for the minipass collab, the countless bugs, pushing base styles and vbucks to the Bonus section on top of atrocious xp gains, and general changes that sour players wants.

First battlepass in YEARS that I didn't finish. I went weeks not playing this season and I only hopped back on for the last few days to get the 100 levels. As shocking as it sounds, I played more of the runtime for Chapter 4 Season 3, and we know how that season went.

One thing I really liked about the chains is that they could counter Zeus' lightning and Icarus' Wings by dragging who ever was using it. It was so satisfying to cancel someone's bolt or pulling someone down when they tried to fly away.

I just wished there was more Greek mythology stuff like Minotaur sysiphus Hercules etc.

I really enjoyed the consistent updates this season had. Fortnite finally brought back an LTM that wasn't trash, the old weapons being customizable were a nice addition, and there were always some new stuff every few weeks. I really dislike the Avatar event though since it removed the items that were directed to the theme, and only 2 out of the 4 bending mythics were good to use

I know this season had a lot of flaws, but I cannot hate it, or even say it was disappointing. All I’m looking for in a Fortnite season is fun, and I got that with this season. I’d even say if the Avatar Update included the Greek God weapons during it, then I think it would be a 9/10 for me. But overall, 8/10 season.

Beginning was insane, but when Midas was gone the season went downhill. You should have mentioned the problems with the xp though. Even though I played regularly and did all challenges, the xp in BR was soo bad that I had to camp the last two weeks in Lego and creative maps to get the bp done. Along with the lackluster story and focus on collabs, I‘m convinced that epic wants to move away from BR.

I have mixed feelings about this season. It was pretty boring in my opinion. I loved the bosses and the mythics are amazing but it was just missing something. If you want to play the next season with me tomorrow, I'm down. I'm excited for the next season and from looking at the leaks, the next season looks promising.

Amazing vid, cool that others feel the same about the season being a let down

imo this season was executed soo poorly. Greek Mythology as a concept couldve been the greatest fortnite season of all time, but they fumbled soooo hard. I feel like if they stopped worrying about the business side of things and focused on going all out, the season wouldve been more fun. This was the only season so far in which i could play this game, but decided against it bc it was so boring. The battle pass was pretty good, but the gameplay was so bad. Three new weapons that were basically reskinned variants of old ones, no unvaulted items at the start of the season (except for chug splash but like lets be fr those have been in the game for so long i didnt even realize they had left), and when they did eventually unvault items, they changed them completely and destroyed all of the nostalgia and charm behind them.

I'm disappointed that the persona 3 collab rumors turned out to be false, that would've been a way better fit for the theme than Avatar.

My friend described Midas story as "His story is to escape the story."

They did so well for lore and other game modes except for BR

This was the first season I didn't even log into like even once. I personally didn't do it because of school but I also was burnt out of the game after playing it off and on since 2018 late chapter 3.

this season brought me back, so I absolutely loved it

So i havent watched the video quiet yet but i wanted to quickly give my take on this because i agree. This season was very hyped from the moment it was confirmed to be greek mythology. We as a community had high expectations. I think we all thought it would be like chapter 2 season 4 with the marvel stuff where we had around 7 or 8 marvel mythics. And that just didnt happen. At launch we basically had 2 mythics. The thunder bolt and the wings. Pretty lack luster. We only recieved 1 more by the end of it too. The skins werent as exciting as we had hoped and water bending took over the season plus the avatar collab. The lack of actual greek god content was what made it less enjoyable. They probably focused more on the map changes than anything on this season for launch. They just didnt really do much with this season based on its theme and it just wasnt what any of us imagined it could have been

I actually really liked this season until the Avatar update. The midas floor is lava, wings and thunderbolts all made the game feel fresh and fun until the avatar update. The mythics all felt like copy and paste version of other mythics. The battle pass was Ok, and the Star Wars update was a let down. The season was only fun for the first month. Great video, btw.

Now that the new season is out im already having so much more fun. Season 2 got stale pretty quickly. Even my playstyle had become pretty boring since the only places worth dropping were the new god locations. Now things feel more fresh and actually fun to play.

For me this season was 8/10 . I really enjoyed the Greek gods but disappointed with the Poseidon skin and I was really hoping for war live event. But if they can make a new Poseidon skin with similar features as the other gods then I be happy.

Poseidon is my favorite because of the slurp. The way they animated his movements was clean
