It's sucks that some collab skins and orignal classic Skins are all locked behind the battle pass exclusivity. However, that's one of the ways for fortnite to make money. It's a live service free to play game. It just the way it is.

The issue isn't skins based on the season being behind a battle pass, but about COLLAB SKINS being locked behind it. It's impossible to have every skin from every event and season available to you. it's kind of unrelated but fortnite needs to add a lobby/menu customization option, such as season specific lobby backgrounds, fonts, and battle pass visuals.

I like exclusivity tbh, gives you a reward for playing the game and a bunch of cosmetics with a huge discount. If people miss out they just need to get over it because they truly didn’t want to play that season or just didn’t play until now. One thing that would help is if you could unlock items from previous battle passes that you bought and didn’t finish. But letting a player that just started get black knight would just sound insane because they didn’t even play that theme of that season

It annoys me so much when I look back and see that I missed getting my favourite skin in the game in C4 S4 and missed it by 1 season and will never have it again. I think the best way, but the way epic would never do, is to have all the battle passes in 1 tab where you pay 950 vbucks for each battle pass in your own time. And for OG players who like having the rare skins, make super styles for the one's that didn't have any, and make it so super styles aren't unlockable by the battle pass tab

I think the battle pass was better before chapter 5 because first of all you could get all the vbucks by reaching tier 100 and there wasn't any other battle passes just the 1

Sigh as someone who has literally lost my ps4 account that had fully completed battlepass skins (each battle pass got to level 300+) and as someone who played with that account and got battle passes from chapter 2 season 2 to chapter 2 season 8 (i stoped buying battle passes in chapter 3) but now i have a new account that i play on and i have the current battle pass chapter 5 season 2 fully completed i really don't see a problem with the battle pass i look at it in this way epic is going to keep doing the battle pass to make money or if you dislike it and it gets you pressed so much over a damn skin i think you should just stop playing that game and take a break and come back to the game in a good mood

I just wish after awhile they put old battle passes in the shop or skins that was in the battlepass. Like I missed a lot so I wish I could get Gumbo or Meowscles. I started in the middle of Chapter 4 Season 2

Battle passes are cool. If can get multiple skins for something that costs less compared to the item shop

there is another game, brawlhalla and they have a battle pass, however occasionally they bring back old battle passes (hell even the current battle pass even). that way they can put more effort into other things in the game and we as players can get vaulted skins. brawlhalla does battle passes right, and i think fortnite should adopt that system

Who else hate that they put 500 vbucks in the bonus reward forcing you to grind to level 140 to get all your vbucks instead of level 98?

You don't need to buy a battle pass. You don't need to purchase all the battle passes. I started off with no v bucks and skins. I played a couple seasons and saved the free v bucks received. I now own battle pass skins every season because one usually gets over 1000 V bucks from the pass

Everytime i buy the pass its because i enjoy playing to rank them up i nwver think "i gotta buy this pass because its exclusive" as much as i like fortnite i hate how hard epic weaponizes fomo and exclusivity. There was nothing stopping them from adding characters like darth vader, spiderman and Optimus Prime in the shop for everyone to buy at anytime they wish but instead they made them pass exclusives and once the season is gone its gone forever. They know if they add iconic key characters from popular franchises in their limited time battle passes they can squeeze as much sales for it as possible. It just pressures every player to feel the need to buy in. They need to stop putting important colab characters in passes and they should bring back old pass cosmetics either in the shop individually or let us buy into the pass and have to grind the levels. Idk make it to where for example they bring back the ch1s2 pass but if u want to buy it now its not 950 its say 1200 or even if it was 2000 each id still buy them all or make it to where u buy the pass for 950 but u dont make ur vbucks back. Give a small incentive to people that buy the pass within its season and not to where the cosmetics are just completely locked forever. Find a middle ground where both people that want to play as characters from their favorite ips but didn't happen to be play during the season it was in the pass and people that have played day 1 and bought every pass and will whine that there skins that they probability haven't used since ch1 come back. At the least colab skins should come back. Although personally i think they all should come back. Theres alot of fortnite original characters id wish i had and willing to buy them at any price.

I started in ch3s1 so i got sought after iconic characters like Spiderman, spidergwen, darth vader, Optimus Prime. Im not opposed to pass items like these to come to the shop infact i want them to. If they would ever come to the shop i wouldn't feel like i needed to be compesated, like how entitled can u be to feel that way. i basically bought them along with their entire set and the other skins included in the pass with them for 950 each thats a steal imo.

Maybe they can use a similar system to the refund tickets but for battle passes, so u have 3 tickets to get a previous battle pass but each ticket u use costs the normal 950, and when u use the tickets u have to wait a til next year so for example if u spend all 3 tickets u have to wait til 2025, the second ticket 2026, then 2027 for third one. That way people still can work towards skins they want but there’s a limit, on top of all that u would only be able to work to tier 100 of the pass so no bonus rewards. I guess for secret skins maybe make be like level up quests packs or something. Edit: one ticket per battle pass u pick so straight away people can pick 3 different ones to own then after all three are used then u have to wait. Pretty much choose wisely between which passes u want first and what ones u are fine with waiting to get.

You have so much bad information so Im going to correct you below. 1. Last season and this season the "Battle Pass" only has had 1 or 2 collab skins in it and ALL of the other content was Fortnite made characters. 2. It seems that you are trying to lump the "Battle Pass" and the SEPARATE mini collab pass together. 3. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD the collab pass and the festival pass ARE NOT part of the "Battle Pass" and you have to buy them separately. 4. Each pass requires different things to be done to progress it. 5. Each pass says on its screen if the items in it will be able to return to the game in the future or which items in it are exclusive to it.

I only play fortnite

In the direction they are currently taking the game with Disney and other IPs they are going to have to bring these cosmetics back at some point

I understand the exclusivity problem, but i don't understand why so many people have problems with time. I'm in college, i work, i play 3 other games and still i'm able to complete every pass in the game. It's not that hard.

Battle passes are good. Good value for free game. Its optional. AND rarity is a GOOD thing. People LOVE live events. But hate battle pass? Weird logic.
