I like the anime, as a former "anime-only", but some of the changes sound pretty not great or downright bad, like the bench hirata moment changes, lol...completely makes Ayanokoji seem incapable of emotion & not alot of striving to gain it, as its his 1 con among so many pros😅 Ig the best way to describe anime Ayanokoji is being alot shallower & edgy than source. It makes him vastly different. Also....the "25 students", idek how that'll ever be fixed. ~15 less in each is sorta wild...lol

Anime's main purpose is to promote the Light novel or Manga. So only glimpses are shown in the anime, whereas Full content is available in the source material.

I’m going to be honest, volume 8 was arguably the worst volume in year 1. It was very boring and while I do agree that some scenes in volume 8 should’ve been there this wasn’t a terrible change to me. Not only that the “T. rex scene” is just terrible it didn’t need to be there at all idky u see so many people upset it wasn’t there….

Yeah It’s funny how the anime portrays ayanokoji as cold and emotionless. Like that scene at the end of season one where he’s all like, “ I don’t care about anything other than winning, I’ll do whatever it takes” like that is totally untrue. He does not care that much and his motivations are just that straight forward idk why they would make him like that in the anime.

I don’t really care about the animation as long as it’s watchable, what I want to see is the whole series not being rushed into 13 episode seasons for over a thousand pages of writing and skipping loads of content

Honestly, while they skipped many details and most exams feels rushed, the adaptation did fine in the sense that reading starting from year 2 would not leave you confused. As long as you know that zodiac exam = planet exam you'd be fine. You get a lot more details but reading 14 volumes must be dreadful if you already know the plot points and they don't change.
