AMANDA: Amanda is allowed to go out to a publicly accessible restaurant. Tori (used an i… b) on the other hand is NOT allowed to trespass and/or break into someone’s private home. Amanda is allowed to request that a literal criminal, one who just forced their way into their own home, stay away from her family. Tori, nomatter how butthurt she is because issues issues, is NOT allowed to physically assault someone, especially while trespassing and forcing their way into someone’s home. One is requesting their assault end… the other is literally on an assault and repeatedly targeting them… age does not matter at that point. The old guy last year who shot the kids who broke into his home was not charged with a crime, as he was the victim and acting in protection of his property and self, the fact that they were decades older than the teens who broke in, made absolutely no difference. Once Tori breaks the law again and breaks into someone else’s home, age doesn’t matter.

That's because the show runners are the original cast. They kept as close to the original 80s/90s flow as possible without detracting it with unnecessary garbage for "modern audiences"

Yo this is very true. I was bullied until I was 13. Left and joined a new school where I became friends with the bullies and started bullying other kids. I went this way for about a year until I realised this was wrong. I reverted to my old patterns and once again people started bullying me. I'm glad I'm in college now where this doesn't really happen anymore.

She didn’t think about her sick mother when she pulled a stunt that could easily get her arrested. Showing up to your work to warn you not to pull a stunt like that again is pretty tame considering she could literally have her arrested and rightfully so.

Amplifying law & responsibility, not the bullying. Harass someone from work and there's a good chance that you'll get fired and struggle to pay your bills. If the employer doesn't enforce that then they're the ones that might get into trouble w/ the law. Children bully each other when there's little-to-no consequences.

Tory's a teen. Amanda confronted someone who broke into her house and tried to beat up her daughter. Tory got herself fired by lashing out at a customer. Amanda just called out her nonsense. Calling the cops on Tori would've had more of a negative effect on her than going to her work.

If someone attacked my child and tried to seriously injure them I'd be way worse than Amanda

Amanda clearly felt guilty, having caused the situation to escalate to that because she recognizes the fact that this girl has baggage and what may have felt satisfying for her as a mother in the moment, probably wasn't an appropriate move to make. She has already confronted Krease herself and saw what kind of person Daniel and her daughter have been dealing with, and she's smart enough to know, he is a negative influence on these children which is why Daniel has been trying to shut down Cobra Kai from the beginning. When that attack at the house happened notice how Daniel and Johnny's first response was to go after Krease, not the kids. Even when Daniel snapped on Hawk, he immediately felt regret because he knows at the end of the day these all these kids are just a product of their teachings. This is the whole theme of the Karate Kid franchise, and the significance of the Banzai Trees, that the shape and direction your life takes depend on your influences and environment. It's all about nurture over nature. The show clearly leans in favor of Amanda feeling responsible in the next few episodes. This isn't a matter of what we personally feel Tori deserves. It's a matter of responsibility and the actions of the kids versus the influence of the adults. And while I feel strongly about all of what I just said and it is what the heart of the conversation of the show. People with other influences might see things differently, which is why I'm shocked by Navi, because she's always taking the most idealistic and moralistic stances and constantly shows sympathy towards Riley on the Boondocks particularly because he's a child. And regardless of how you view Tori and her actions, she's still a minor and should be viewed as such.

Robby hasn't tried to blindly beat someone up and break into someone's house to do so. He's an angry kid, but he's not crazed. As is, Robby is more lost than villainous at the moment as a character structure. Samantha will get her wrongdoing, but she hasn't made Tory's break ins and physical attacks on her justified.

Don't you think Tory's homelife makes her actions even more fucked up? She chose to start the school brawl, she chose to join the arcade fight, and she chose to lead the brawl at Larusso's house knowing the consequences if the Larusso's finally decided to call the cops. It's in Amanda's character. She's very confrontational and antagonistic when it comes to any threat towards her family. What she did was very much consistent to what she's done already. There's also a very good reason why she's like that and it'll be explained this season.
