Great vid, taking my inlet off to access a rounded downpipe nut and might as well give it a good clean while it’s off, how long do you think it too start to finish?

Did it make much difference? I need to do mine at some point. Might buy another inlet and let it steep in petrol for a month 🤣

Didn't notice any but will improve airflow slightly if there has been large amount of carbon build up removed

@@CarGuyLife yeah that's true, I see you did EGR delete as well, any noticeable difference there? I have A4 B6 1.9 PD quattro sport, fellow Scot doon in sunny Ayrshire 👍

On the left side is a black box. Why is this closed with some tubes? (sorry for my english i am from germany) and i also have an Ibiza Cupra. 😁 Nice videos by the way.

Can you remember which way round you put the intake manifold gasket? There’s one side of the gasket with the raised bit and the other side is flat? Which side mates up against the block? I’m doing mine atm and don’t wanna get it wrong haha. Thanks

@@kevg2476which way did you fit it ,do you remember? I'm having an issue with leak after cleaning and assembling it. Should I use silicone as well ?

Got told by a mechanic friend that it doesn’t matter which way round the gasket goes. I put mine with the bump facing the block…I just tightened the bolts equally with Allen keys. As long as the manifold surface is clean (no old gasket still on there, got mine off with wire wool) and the manifold is on secure there shouldn’t be a leak, did you fit a new gasket? I wouldn’t put silicone on it tho 👍

How cna you intake get carboned when you have EGR OFF, cam shaft vapours off, :D

Just use mr muscle oven cleaner then you wouldn’t ruin your drive with carbon oil and crap.

Yup definitely especially because the carbon build up on my intake was bad
