Walking tour of Seattle’s Pike Place. Filmed on the morning of May 7, 2023. I’ve made a lot of videos of Pike Place Market and it’s good to be back.
I ended up also covering the Seatrle Waterfront and Downtown Seattle (Pioneer Square). Lots of development and things happening in Seattle and summer is around the corner!

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME…
My name is Dennis aka Lao Ocean (also aka Dr. Wtpho, but more about that later) and I'm a Lao American KZfaqr based in Seattle, WA (since 1980). I do different things, including I’m a Creative Director for Seattle based Pom Foundation, a non profit group that strives to transmit, preserve and promote Lao culture through the arts.
My videos and vlogs consist of Seattle and Pacific Northwest content, food and product reviews, and travel. I drink way too much coffee and eat pho 20PHO7!

Dennis, don't let mean people get you down. They can turn the volime off if they dont like the narration. We fast forward sections at times. We really appreciate you and your famiky for your videos. Our son moved to Seattle for work. We miss him a lot. Your videos give us an idea of life there and the changes. We are also using them to help plan our future visit. Stay well and thank you 😊.

I came to Seattle in 87 and then moved to Washington in 88, at 10 yrs old, pike place market magic shop and waterfront shops like Ye Old Curiosity were amazing to me as a kid, still hold a great deal of nostalgia to me, thanks for the video!

I used to take random road trips to Vancouver, Portland, etc. in my 20s (late 90s) haven't been exploring up there for a while but its all nostalgia to me. Lived in bothel Washington at the time. In Az for last 20 yrs and there's nothing here worth moving for unless you wanna sell pottery and crystals in Sedona or something lol

i love exploring cities walking tour videos especially with narration from a local explaining everything like weather, history events etc. you're the only walking tour channel from Seattle with narrtions and I absolutely love it please keep posting more video and go on tour to more neighborhoods of this beautiful city and take us with you. all love from Malaysia

You’re upbeat demeanor is your expertise. You don’t have to be a tour guide of anything. Your viewpoint is the best point, keep being yourself, don’t let negative people hate on who God made you. I watch because of who you are, even if it’s Pike Place or Alki Beach. You are the content brother!!! Just watch out for busses😆

Last time I was in Seattle was back in 1985. I was stationed in Tacoma, at McChord AFB there, back then. We used to make road trips up to Seattle to find night spots to have a good time. Those were the days. I eventually moved back east and in the South where I am now. It's been decades since I've been back to Seattle. Maybe one day I'll make it back out there again. It's good that you make videos of the city. It brought back memories for me seeing those clips, even though there are some new buildings and things. I feel like I left of piece of me there in Seattle. Saw lots of shows, concerts, and good times while there.

Be You Tee Full!!! keep showing the amazing life in Seattle!!! Interlopers have come to destroy our successful city, but by showing us thriving they will move on to a different city. Your videos remind me every day why I have never even thought about moving away. The old saying.."charity starts at home" stands strong in Seattle. Ignore the "some dudes" of other states/cities and focus on Seattle. Florida sucks. We fought to get and we fight to keep it. You are showing the best place on earth to live. Thank for taking the time to share our state online!!! You are the best. We need people like you in our city. Any haters that comment will shrivel into oblivion, you will remain successful lifelong. There is no place I'd rather live.

Dennis, I really enjoy your videos. I live about an hour north and I've only been to Seattle once in the last five years. Your tours are relaxing and educational. I get to see a preview of sites so I know what to avoid and where to explore myself. Keep up the tours.

I am excited to be excited! Back to Pike Place,YES! Thank you, thank you Mr Dennis. What a great way to end the Sunday by watching it. The waterfront is really taking on a new and exciting look. Dennis, I have watched every video on Seattle you have ever posted. My granddaughter lives in Seattle and before we went to Seattle to visit her last September 2022 you showed us places we wanted to visit. Ignore critics!!! If they don't like your tours or conversations with us they should stop watching your videos. I want you to keep making fun videos. I don't want to hear the spin Seattle Travel gives, I want to hear what Seattle locals have to say. We stopped and got coffee at places you recommended and burger places you stopped at during your walks. Keep walking, keep talking. I am watching and listening, Thank you for your view of Seattle and not the blah blah of people who don't know Seattle.

I so enjoy your walking tours. They make me happy. My parents grew up there and I had hoped to move somewhere in the area, before I became ill. I had a couple of comments, but for some reason I can no longer comment using my Kindle? Anyway, I forget what my comments were? I keep wondering? I see how worn the old, brick road is. Is the old city right under the brick road? Is it reinforced and safe. I know you said some vendors don't want to be filmed, but I do love looking at all the items and into store, window displays. Maybe once in awhile you can get permission to film from a few? Nevertheless, fun tour. The street food looks interesting. Thanks!

So informative of your walking tour at Pike Marketplace and the Wharf. Out of curiosity how far is the walk from Marriott’s near the wharf #66 to Pike Marketplace and if there’s an easier or short cut way?

Thanks. Easy 10 minute walk and the concierge will point you in the right direction. I’ve stayed at that hotel a couple times.
