He basically is a prisoner held against his own free will, which would to be free. Have you seen the beginning of how they caught him and separated him from his mother??? Have you seen the movie? The fact that they know it's wrong and continue to exploit these animals to death should tell you all you need to know, they treat these animals as if they are objects, not living, breathing animals that feel pain, emotionally and physically. Absolutely disgusting. These beautiful animals deserve so much more than this. This is f*cked up and everyone knows it, we need to inform people of this, stop supporting Sea World. I encourage you guys to watch “blackfish”, a documentary about the dark side of sea world and their orca show. Seaworld captures whales and rip them away from thier mothers and at the end of the capturing many are dead. When the babies are born there they are also ripped away causing emotional trauma to the mothers and children. Less than 1% of orcas have flopped over dorsal fins and yet almost every orca in captivity does. The documentary includes a lot more and it’s really important to spread the word on what really happens

Shadow you are pathetic. Your perspective is very subjective to your own good. How in the world is being captives benefits the orcas and how is orcas is well taken care. They were forced to live in a tank without their pod ! They were forced to be on schedule and perform for human entrainment purpose !!! You are confusing human being and orcas. These whales are forced to work and have set schedule time for their performance. They aren’t human and do not need to make a living so stop that nonsense

Tilikum was neglected at Sealand as I understand and beaten up by the two female orcas there. Six years of neglect will take it's toll in every way. It doesn't matter how hard we try, it'll be impossible to meet their needs. A wild orca eats 500lbs of fish, seals, sharks, rays, whales etc. They live in strong, stable family units and have adaptive hunting tactics according to their prey. They include:intentional stranding, passive listening, synchronized swimming, wave hunting etc. Even stealing fish from fishing lines. They teach these tactics to their young from about 8 weeks old. Orcas cover up to 100 miles per day;swimming, courting, hunting, playing and so on

But I am here to tell you that they don’t get feed once a day the actually get Feed 7 times a day (not including when they do shows) They get feed large amounts of fish and other things at a time like Octopus Squid We also do not abuse them or harm them in any way they sometimes lash out Because they want a treat like a fish or Two That is why bad stuff like this happens in the beginnings of the shows Because they have not gotten a fish yet because they have not done a trick. Also when they are not doing a show we are scrubbing them and Massaging Them! Also during this time they get feed they don’t have to do tricks for these treats! @@chrismora9049 I’m very glad you asked that question! Blackfish has 70% lies in it to make SeaWorld look bad. They said there is no record of an orca attack in the wild when they dang well knew there was 1 incident of an orca accidentally bit a man/woman. They said SeaWorld “starves their orcas” but this is in fact not true. In Behind the Scenes of Believe, a trainer said if the orca does a wrong trick, they give them positive reinforcement, they either tell them to do the trick again, or get a treat (fish, salmon, rub downs), but SeaWorld, especially Dawn, would never do anything to hurt the orcas or put them in danger. SeaWorld separates the orcas for a reason. In the documentary, these so called “trainers” had said Tiki (Takara, we pro capts like to call them by their nicknames) was moved from Kassy (Kasatka, again, we pro capts call the orcas by their nickname) at a young age. In fact, that is not true at all. Tiki was moved at 12 years old from Kassy. Another important thing, Blackfish had some trainers who were fired by SeaWorld. I will get back to you on that. There is more that I will share. Please, ask me anything.

Yes, there were 3 deaths from Tilikum, but that beautiful orca is not to blame. Leave them in their original habitat and find something else to entertain people. It's just such a travesty to make them perform.
