Seaworld captures whales and rip them away from thier mothers and at the end of the capturing many are dead. When the babies are born there they are also ripped away causing emotional trauma to the mothers and children. Tilikum was neglected at Sealand as I understand and beaten up by the two female orcas there. Six years of neglect will take it's toll in every way. It doesn't matter how hard we try, it'll be impossible to meet their needs. A wild orca eats 500lbs of fish, seals, sharks, rays, whales etc. They live in strong, stable family units and have adaptive hunting tactics according to their prey. They include:intentional stranding, passive listening, synchronized swimming, wave hunting etc. Even stealing fish from fishing lines. They teach these tactics to their young from about 8 weeks old. @ripplewavess3 жыл бұрын
@@chrismora9049 I’m very glad you asked that question! Blackfish has 70% lies in it to make SeaWorld look bad. They said there is no record of an orca attack in the wild when they dang well knew there was 1 incident of an orca accidentally bit a man/woman. They said SeaWorld “starves their orcas” but this is in fact not true. In Behind the Scenes of Believe, a trainer said if the orca does a wrong trick, they give them positive reinforcement, they either tell them to do the trick again, or get a treat (fish, salmon, rub downs), but SeaWorld, especially Dawn, would never do anything to hurt the orcas or put them in danger. SeaWorld separates the orcas for a reason. In the documentary, these so called “trainers” had said Tiki (Takara, we pro capts like to call them by their nicknames) was moved from Kassy (Kasatka, again, we pro capts call the orcas by their nickname) at a young age. In fact, that is not true at all. Tiki was moved at 12 years old from Kassy. Another important thing, Blackfish had some trainers who were fired by SeaWorld. I will get back to you on that. There is more that I will share. Please, ask me anything.

Me and my family went to Orlando for my brother's make a wish foundation request. We went to Sea World and during the first five minutes we got separated, cell phones weren't really a thing yet so after twenty minutes of searching for them I decided to go and do stuff.I heard a kid say Shamu is starting soon, I went to the show. At the end of the show they put all the orcas away, the trainers retreated from the water and they announced Tilikum was coming, I got out of my seat, stepped up on the concrete ledge and when Tilikum came out of the funnel I reached over the glass and touched him with love and caring, he looked up with me and my heart sank to the floor from the level of dread and sorrow in his eye when he looked at me.
