Welcome Eric and great show! I really appreciate the different personalities and variety of viewpoints at the table; watching this show has helped me so much when planning trips to Disney. Also, a couple years ago when visiting the Florida Keys I had a frozen key lime pie on a stick and covered in chocolate that was amazingly good! The addition of some salt sounds genius.

Thanks for the review! I just stayed at Caribbean Beach and this wouldn't have even been on my radar if not for your video. I remembered your video, though, and was back at my resort resting and figured I should get dinner before heading to MNSSHP. I'm so glad I went to Sebastian's! Had a wonderful meal in a bright environment that rejuvenated me for the busy night ahead.

Watching this in 2020 like "...and then there was one."

After going through Hurricane Michael, hearing this show calmed me down a lot. You guys rock, okay?

Sounds DELICIOUS and I'll definitely try it next visit. On another note, however, whereas the ultimate food/restaurant cliche items for the past few years have been kale and salted caramel, may I put in my vote for the most over-used "upscaling" menu epithet-- "crema" Jeez, we're talking mayo or salad dressing with a flavor--anything you can squirt from a bottle becomes a "crema" and adds $2 to the item :) This isn't just a Disney thing--but the vocabulary expansion on menus gets a little old, no? :) Meanwhile, as for goat being scary? Not to our huge latin american population which shows Disney is seeing ethnic guest trends going up, which is nice. They wouldn't dare put it on a menu in a high-traffic situation like this without a ton of research as to audience acceptance.

My dad had a great friend from the Caribbean. They went out one day to find a live goat. When they told the owner they were going to slaughter the goat for cooking, he refused to sell it to them. (The curried goat dad's friend eventually prepared was delicious, although, as Charles noted, it contained bones.)

Great show but would love to see a review of the Caribbean vegetable curry for us veggies/vegans

Eric did a wonderful job. He is a great addition to the show. As far as Sebastian after this review I am considering going on my next trip in August 2019

Pete nearly fell into Disney's trap. Disney's strategy for their restaurants is getting obvious. They over budget for the first 6 months, create the reputation/get the good reviews then get the accountants in to cheapen the whole thing. The real review for this restaurant will be next year. We all know the drill. If it maintains the quality then we can have hope for this restaurant.

Love that we have a great restaurant at CB , now can you do a review on the Banana Cabana, which seems like it will just be the overflow waiting Area of families waiting for there tables to be ready... (Kids on the bar stools) parents and there strollers standing behind them clogging up the whole area...never had that problem at the old location of the B.Cabana.. This seems like a job for, Craig, Kylie and the Ryno ! Cheers

Im staying in CBR for 2 weeks next may I am so excited!

This menu actually reminds me of a restaurant that we used to have ... the Bahama Breeze restaurant. Now unfortunately, over time, our restaurant actually went out of business and closed. I can only say that it will depend on how much visitors like that type of food. If visitors like this type of cuisine, it will do great! Otherwise with all the food options at Disney, some may choose to go somewhere else.

Good point regarding decreasing quality, increasing price. I find these places are best when starting out, then decline when the bean counters try to squeeze every dime out of it. Hopefully won't happen, but I'm not optimistic.

I would have liked to hear your opinions on some of the vegan options on the menu. I heard there are quite a few here.

Two questions: 1) When is Pete heading to Tokyo Disneyland? I heard that he was going to the Japanese parks soon. 2) Is he going to make any videos about Tokyo Disneyland (his experiences etc.)? I am so interested in those foreign parks at the moment haha.

Come on Riviera Resort !!!

We had a chance to visit Sebastian’s Bistro just a few days after opening since we were at the Walt Disney World resort. We were not staying on the resort so we dove to our reservation. Finding the restaurant was not easy at all. We saw zero signs telling us where to go or any help on where to park. We wound up parking and walked to find the restaurant. Fortunately there were plenty of cast members to help us along the way. Check in was easy as the restaurant was mostly empty. The restaurant is much smaller than I expected. Seems to only have seating for 100 total inside with a large out side bar. For a restaurant called Sebastian’s Bistro there is a strong lack of theming. There are two paintings with Sebastian, but besides that there’s nothing else. This could easily be any Caribbean themed restaurant. There is a strong lack of the Disney touch. The menu is a bit small but has a little bit of everything you can imagine Caribbean related. Price point seems about average for a Walt Disney World experience. We had a forty (40) minute wait for two burgers. My friend ordered the avocado burger and loved it. It’s a chimichurri and beef mix. It was cooked right and even though it was so big he had to take it apart to eat , it was well received. My order was a big regret. I ordered the crab cake burger. I ordered it medium but was served more than well done. Not wanting an extremely long wait for a new one I went with my order. The burger was very disappointing. Besides the crab cake on top there was zero flavor to the meat. For ordering one of the most expensive items on the menu I am extremely disappointed. The restraunt took note of the problems and took care of the cost of the burger. While the ambiance / atmosphere of the restaurant is good. I haven’t found anything that is particularly worth a return trip.

Now they need to change the restaurant at POR!! Disney has so much potential and that place is the pits!

Guys I love you too much but as a Belizean (Belize a country in the Caribbean) person let me help ya'll with some of those pronunciations. It pronounced Escabeche "s-ca-be-jay" and the Plantains is pronounced "plan-tin". Anyhow good job giving all the dishes a try just from my personal experience it looks like Jamaica, PR, DR, Trinidad and Belize are where most of the dishes are from. A excellent variety which really represents the Caribbean. I'm going to have to plan to trip to eat here real soon.

Welcome Eric (sp?)! You did a great job! It's nice to see a young man with a well kept beard who combs his hair in the morning. I'm old so I'm not a beard fan but if you're going to have one it is nice to see it trimmed. I'm really tired of looking at young guys with unkempt beards who look like they haven't run a comb through their hair in a year. Plus Eric seems very knowledgeable reviewing food and drink. Some people belong behind the camera and some people belong in front of the camera. Eric and his opinions belong in front of the camera.

It's been 20 months since this review. It loved it, but REALLY miss Charles, Steve, and Eric.

I'd love you guys to give me advice on the stay we are having in February..staying 9 nights...so 9 must do sit down dinners..I will tell you I have reservations already ..on the dining plan..here is what we have planned..ohanna, sanaa, sebatians, cape may cafe, the yachtsman, chef mickey's, liberty tree tavern and coral reef. Please tell me if I'm making a mistake by any of these table dinners. I should mention that we have two children with us so that kind of impacts our decision as well..as far as character dining. Thanks. I enjoy your show!
