It’s funny how much respect they have for each other. Sebastian has so much respect for Mark where he requires the blessing of Mark to play Luke, while Mark respects Sebastion to the point where he said that Sebastion doesn’t need his blessing to play Luke

I want the show where Luke is played by both Mark Hamill and Sebastian Stan. Old Luke reflecting about his younger self, why is there a chasm in between the character personality wise.

I think this is an intriguing idea! There is a lot of rich material outside of the nine main SW movies that can be explored with Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker. As a fan from 1977 to present, including dozens of books and seeing what Stan has done on screen, I'd favor it.

Imagine if he’s cast as Luke and we get a whole show about Luke’s adventures between RoTJ and TFA, and in that show he bumps into Jainia Gavankar as Iden Versio. Between them, they go on imperial remnant raids and at some point bump into Bill Burr as Meyfeld. Then we get a show about Luke and ex imperials dismantling the remnant forces stronghold by stronghold. And luke finds that one stronghold is actually an old Jedi temple Palpatine knew about. In there, Luke activates a Jedi holocron and it shows a dark glove reach over a mask with red markings and a horizontal visor slit, pick it up and pans out to see Keanu Reeves put that mask on, then a red and a purple glow bathes each side of that mask in their respective colours. Leading onto the reveal of an old republic show as well

Idk about anyone else, but I would love to see a live action series with new characters during the end of the clone wars and start of the empire, set in the underworld of Coruscant, and we could hear Easter eggs and mentions of major events of the time through dialogue.

I would love a little mini series where a older Luke (Mark Hamill) contemplates his life pin pointing his high lights in life (Beating Darth Sidious, bringing peace to the galaxy) and lows (The Death of his Father and the inevitable fall of the Jedi once again after 58 years) showing a younger Luke (Sebastian Stan)

Yes I would, but it would have to be a filoni/favreau lead/oriented project for me as they actually get the gravitas of the stories they are trying to tell and would handle it with respect and intelligence to tell a great story.

I never even thought of SS playing that role until I saw him presented here. I was shocked to learn that was him playing Luke in the last episode of season 2 in the mandalorian. Now I'd love to see him in that role. Fantastic choice and the faces of him and Mark Hammel are incredibly similar.

I never realized Sebastian Stan resembles Mark Hamill quite a bit and could get away with the part. It's great that they have respect for each other and I feel it is important the fans see this and would be supportive of him taking the role. I think he would be awesome.

That's adorable..... Like how often do you hear about that being the reason for someone's refusal to play a role.

I sort of like the idea of waiting for a new actor/actress to play a part until the prior actor/actress gives some sort of consent because it was their character first. They lived that character, breathed life into it, owned it. (For however long shoots goes for...) So besides the creator of said character, they should have some say on how a new individual will portray it. I've imagined a few small scenes in my head to something similar, but whenever I think of a certain character, I think of the original actor/actress and what they might have done, and if said individual has passed away, I'd want to ask their colleagues from the same movie/TV series, on how that person acted, what was the feeling they provided on set, how was their dynamics....etc. One such idea, a court scene, some movie about what ruling for what reason to determine what outcome, guilty/innocent, and the only judge I can even think about, is Judge Philip Banks from Fresh Prince of Bellaire. Sadly the actor that portrayed the judge/father figure has passed away (I did not know this until 2021 sooo...) and they left strong, but good, feelings with their castmates. So if ever Judge Banks would make a return for a scene, I'd ask Will, Alfonso, Karyn, Janet and others from the series, that the new person portraying the man is good, what should his visual demeanor be, how he should appear to think, act, etc.

The 1st time I saw the comparison between Mark Hamill and Sebastian Stan was on Ifunny. It took me a good minute to realise that the 2nd picture was actually Stan and not Mark, they look a hell of a lot alike.

The story of Luke has so much potential. In legend, there was a lot of story between empire and return not to mention after return which no doubt is the most interesting. With Jon Favreau and Dave filoni now having almost all creative control over star wars along with George Lucas, I see so much potential for great star wars content.

The reaction to Luke in The finale to season 2 the Mandalorian was such, Lucssfilm would be crazy not to bring us more Luke Skywalker. I watched it again this morning, still the same emotions . More Like Skywalker please.

I was enjoying Mando and exited for potential upcoming episodes and spinnoffs , mostly the potential of Bo-Katan's strugglge to free Mandalore from the Empire. I was , in my heart , looking forward to hearing "Specter 5 checking in" over a crackled airwave. My god i was being a superfan... Remember the expanded universe? The remnants of the Empire create a clone of Luke. It was a clone trained in the dark side. I think that's a good possibility for Sebastian. He could be part of episodes 10-12.

Why is it that I’m imagining an alternate universe where Disney remade the original and prequel films in a anime art style? I mean sure there are a lot of shows that pretty much are just the Star Wars films in the style of Anime (like Voltron kinda) but still?
