--------
Sebastian Telfair shared his thoughts on Gilbert Arenas’ controversial take on Vince Carter. Arenas suggested Carter could have reached Michael Jordan’s level, claiming he had the ideal physical attributes but was “too nice.” Telfair partially disagreed, defending Carter’s career, which spanned two decades. He argued Carter had one of the best careers in the NBA, highlighted by his athletic longevity and consistent competitive spirit. Telfair emphasized that Carter’s success couldn’t have been achieved without dedication, dismissing the notion of him being lazy. However, Telfair did agree with Arenas on one point: Carter’s demeanor. He acknowledged that Carter missed the tenacious, killer instinct of players like Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James. Yet, Telfair believes Carter maximized his talents, arguing that not everyone needs to be ruthless to achieve greatness.

At the end of the day Vince became a hall of famer, made over $200 million in NBA earnings, North Carolina legend, and will likely have his jersey retired by two NBA teams (Nets and Raptors), and already has his number retired by North Carolina. Lastly, Vince will keep a job related to the NBA because he's a good ambassador for the league with him being known a "Nice" guy.

Loved watching Vince Carter (especially with the Raptors and the Nets) and what he brought to the game. Thank you to Telfair for giving Vince much respect. Jordan was Jordan. Vince was Vince. To me, the only thing that threw Vince off course was that missed three in the playoffs against Iverson. If that shot would have gone in, things might have been a little different. Another thing that had an effect, was when T-Mac left for Orlando, the disagreements with Toronto management, and not playing during some of his injuries. Jordan didn't give a fuck about no one. Vince was a gentleman to everyone. Jordan is the face of modern basketball. Vince Carter, with his athleticism and showmanship, is modern basketball. Vince Carter is deserving of the NBA Hall of Fame.

It takes more than TALENT to make it at a professional level! You have to have lots of self discipline, financial discipline, and social discipline that comes with AGE,EXPERIENCE, & MATURITY!!! that’s why 4 years of COLLEGE is supposed to prepare these young guys for the Pro’s ! 1-2 years isn’t enough! But when you have the talent and can’t afford to miss out on big money in the nba, and don’t want to risk any serious injuries while playing in College then these players rush into the professional ranks without realizing these factors in life !
