The hybrids was the loss of the soul of F1. While this Era sounded great, the early 2000’s with the screaming V10 was pure F1 glory.

I still think the v8 era is the best though. The v10s were just too screechy and loud. The V8 is the embodiment of rumble and throaty.

i think the late 90s v10s were the best sounding v10s as they didnt have traction control, which sounded horrible out of the slow corners.

The visual not only the sound is so obviously lost on the modern version of f1 . Immediately by livery you can identify the McLaren. Now in 2023 only really the Ferrari tells us what it is by its traditional livery . The rest are lost in all the carbon and stickers . This is all part of the history and attraction of f1 and now we need in depth commentary and visuals just to actually identify who is where !

When Seb said "bring back the f****** V12s", he was being serious (yes this is a V8). I think keeping the ICE on sustainable, synthetic fuel is the proper future of F1.

Love Seb. I was on Twitter (which I hate) and noticed that someone posted a similar video. Most of the comments were about Seb's last few years with Ferrari. It's a shame that great drivers will be remembered for their failures/challenges and not their successes.
