Since I only have rugs over tile floors and not carpet I’ve never purchased the machine but bought two Daisys at the same time. The Duo P powder is not only great at cleaning but also assures hygiene levels for up to six months such as it’s a complete dust mite repellent when used on mattresses and upholstered furniture yet it’s made of one hundred percent organic matter that’s vegetable based.

I have one of these and think its great. Makes the carpets look clean and fluffy and like brand new. It does take a couple of days to thoroughly vacuum out the powder though but that is no big issue.

So glad you did a review. I had been thinking I hope he tries the Sebo Duo bc I have definitely been eyeing it. For some reason I was under the impression that I'd need a commercial Sebo upright vacuum to get up the powder after it dries. Idk maybe I didn't do enough research on it or maybe that's just what I've seen ppl use. It's nice to know that the D4 will work I'm assuming that the E3 would also work just have to change bags more often

A canister vacuum or central vacuum will work better than an upright with this sort of cleaning system because of the added cleaning ability they have. The advantage of an upright is you could actually work the powder in with the upright vacuum and skip the CBR .

Can the duo be used to agitate the carpet after pre spraying? Or would it be better used to fluff up the carpet (to help drying) after the carpet has been rinsed/extracted?

Can I just use the powder and use a brush to work it into the carpet without the Duo machine? I really don't want to have to store another device. I called my local vacuum dealer to see if they had a used Duo and they said that the motors go bad on those usually. Hard to believe.

My experience with this machine is it's pretty "bomb proof" it's a SEBO so it's going to have a long warranty 10 years when purchased from the right dealer. Is there a certain vacuum cleaners that have a feature where you can work it in with. Most SEBO and Lindhuas uprights can have the suction disconnected somehow so you can just work it in with the brush.

@@PerformanceReviews I may have misunderstood the dealer. He did say when he gets them in, they have motor issues. Possibly that's why the customer is trying to get rid of it. Sebo has a DUO Daisy Brush which makes me think you can just use a brush and not need to buy a Duo. I have a Sebo Airbelt E3 Premium. How do you turn off the suction and just use the power head to agitate the powder? Would make a great video if you could instruct how to disable suction on the Sebo for agitation purposes.

@UnixGoldBoy Sebo/their distributors sell the Daisy rolling brush to use with the Duo-P if you want to go the non-motorized route. There are KZfaq videos of people using the Daisy directly on carpet. They also sell a large hand brush for upholstery and a built-in small brush hand brush with the plastic bin of duo-p (which you can refill with the more economical bags that were shown in this video.)

@@KylieIsOverIt Went to my vac dealer the other day. They were sold out of the Duo-P Powder, but told me to order Host Dry Carpet Powder as it's the same. Also didn't have the Daisy brush, but they sold me a Rug Renovator brush. Strange because that location is a big Sebo and Miele dealer.

Next to nothing gets left behind. Maybe 1-5% if you vacuum thoroughly. Excellent question.

I wonder if vacuuming up this powder would absolutely destroy the filters in a bagless vacuum (shark dyson etc)

I actually bought a bagless Hoover for the express reason of vacuuming up Duo P because I’ve invested so much money in good vacuum cleaners so when I use Duo P I vacuum it up with the Hoover and completely disassemble the whole machine and wash it each time that I use it.
