Mate, you are on a roll with the early noughties teen flicks. They're pretty crack up. I agree with "She's the Man". Follow that up with 17 Again, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 3p, White Chicks, Bring it On, Freaky Friday, What a Girl Wants, The Princess Diaries, The Notebook, A Cinderella Story, John Tucker Must Die, The Duff, The Hot Chick, and classics too like Election, Jawbreaker, and Remember the Titans 😉

Easy A is such a classic, just like Mean Girls. I couldn't get "Pocketful of Sunshine" out of my head for weeks after watching this movie 😂

Another good Amanda Bynes movie is She's the Man. She's the star in that. The lawn mower is a throwback to another good teen film, Can't Buy Me Love, starring a young Patrick Dempsey.

Do “Miss Congeniality” next if you want to keep going with light funny comedies. Sandra Bullock is a comedic goddess and that movie is sooo funny. It combines the stereotypical pageantry jokes with the women supporting women subject so well. It is really funny.

Definitely agree that Mean Girls is pretty hard to compete with since it is such a cult classic, but some more films in that orbit would be "She's the Man", "John Tucker Must Die", and "A Cinderella Story"

I noticed on your Alien reaction (new sub btw)... that you really appreciate practical effects. In the spirit of that, I would like to make some recommendations that I have never seen other reactors react to before that are heavy on miniatures, practical effects, etc... 1. Clash of the Titans (1981) 2. The original Star Trek movies (from the original crew)... 1 through 6.

I like the message /social commentary in this movie, but find the editing and acting kinda clunky at times... still waiting for Bridesmaids! It's like Mean Girls but the adult women version lol... or maybe Clueless, it's like Mean Girls' big sister.

I loved this movie so much I googled the director, Will Gluck & watched his other 2 rom coms: F. U. & Friends with Benefits. His other works aren't that good; Annie, Peter Rabbit 1 & 2. But I found another highly rated comedy by him from, How May We Hate You? Putting it on my queue.

Watched this with a girl, expecting it to be largely a chore. I'm not even that dude. ("I'm not gay! I only watch movies people get murdered in!") But, nonetheless, I didn't have high hopes. I was so wrong. This movie smacks. I was pleasantly surprised and bemused a year or two later at a party when another friend suggested it on the back end of a similar grocery list of qualification.

6:10 As an English teacher, I would have to disagree. Spelling is important. You will not believe how many essays I read and I cannot make out the story or I lose interest in the story because of the million spelling mistakes.

I think this movie is great and hilarious, but I don't get the rumour leading to her being an outcast... at least the first one. My whole class knew about the couple that always went to the washroom at the same time and screwed in the first stall. No one really cared tho. I had casual discussion about who'd lost their virginity and how, and I hadn't then, but it was just normalized in highschool. At least where I went to school it was like that
