Thank you so much bro🙂! I normally use the drone on gravel or in the bundus as there are limitations in some public areas. Most of the time when I test bakkies, I go to remote areas which makes it easy to use the drone. True, they made it difficult not to choose the new one. Currently there are solid discounts on this though, seen some above R100K, I saw you got about R60K on the quote. If one wants this, a demo might even be a great choice. It's a pleasure brother, keep up the great work. Amazing work you do🙏🏽🙏🏽🙂

I think government and engineering companies are the ones who should take advantage of these outgoing models as they often buy these cars for field technicians and engineers. For personal purchases it's a bit tricky as the new model is not that far off price wise, so is man for himself in that regard. Thanks for the video and cheers🙏

I hear you, I saw one government agency just replaced their old fleet with this models and bought a lot just this week, forgot which was it. I agree on the price differences especially on Wildtrak but there are people who prefer less electronics and they will get a lot of value from these. Thanks a lot once again Demtumza🙂👏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽

My favourite bakkie. I look forward to affording the new Wildtrak 2.0 biturbo, 4x4 DC in 5 years time. Such a fantastic bakkie in terms of comfort, looks, features and pricing.

great video and very topical whenever a new model comes out - I think the the outgoing model will still have good warranties and service plans etc..

I would like to point service cost saving of the Ranger out. Other traditional brands do 10,000km service. Ranger does 15000km service. If you drove each vehicle 927624km like a Ranger owner recently did, then the service cost would be something like this Ranger took 62 services Other famous brand 93 services If each service cost R4000, Then Ranger cost R248, 000 Other brand cost R372, 000 Ranger saved him R124, 000 Who drives the saving bank on wheels.

The main video was done near Bronkhorspruit, it's a gravel before you get there when coming from Pretoria via R104.

Yohh this is a tough one hey...... The old one aged very well and it still looks beautiful and The new one looks refined and it has a lot of features to offer. Personally I'd still buy the outgoing Raptor model though i like the new one😅, that one taken every spot in my heart😅😅

Honestly the second facelifts will keep this Ranger relevant for some time. Yeah, the advantage with the outgoing Raptor is the fuel consumption on a 2L diesel, I am sure the new V6 is going to be much thirsty. Love the new one though🙂

@@sebuwam yes, I noticed that when you left the wheel it almost instantly veered to the right. My Clio IV also did give me that problem until I took it for wheel alignment.

@@Lesiba2 I hear you, just that I did not explain on the video. It was not wheel alignment actually, if you check at 03:20 I started testing the Lane Keep Assist, I was actually giving it input to the right, I did it twice because it was not picking up the lane. It had +/3000km on the clock, fairly new.

Are you worried about it at 03:37? Because if that's the case it was not the vehicle, I was doing a test which did responded late in this instance

I am about to buy thus outgoing model, problem is I'd like a Rear tonneue cover from Keko like the one the bakkie you review had on. Where can I get thus cover as no ine here in Windhoek, Namibia offers them? Can you give me Website or contact numbers as I checked but no one offers them here in Namibia. How much are they going for in SA?

Hi Allistaire, thank you so much for the warm words. They go for around R4K here in SA. I see one at Evorevo4x4 for that price. Not sure where in Namibia would you get it but if you contact them they might know, they know each other these guys or they can even organise something for you in some instances.

My Mann Sebuwa 🥳👌🏽 Awesome one Mann. Personally I will buy this generation the new ones look great but I’m attached to these. I would take a FX4 it’s my dream bakkie and just keep the change. I don’t see need for wildtrack even though there is more spec. I don’t want an over specced bakkie which Il be using for its intended need which is off-roading. More electronics means less reliability long term. I know the vehicle is reliable I know plenty people who own them im just old school and prefer less tech but more reliability 🙆🏾‍♂️😺 But R1m for raptor 😜I won’t say NO😂 that thing looks and probably is very indestructible 😅

Ozem my brother. 🙌🏽🙂 Haha, that Raptor is something else though, yoh, I just can't wait to touch it. I am with you especially on electronics, it's something 4x4 purists value so much, especially when they want to take it to remote places. Same reason why someone would take LandCruiser 76 over the new defender.

We have to agree though, they managed to keep it alive with the facelifts and tech. In your case that means you must be excited that they are finally being phased out😅
