Experience counts: He had painted most all his life at this point , and those TICK PAINTS STICK to the palette and the knife and the brush better than any TIN paints. I noticed Diane had some on her finger in a recent show-and I thought then that these folks rarely get a smudge at all.

@@morgancalvi6675 Yes but also, flaxseed/linseed oil (if pure) is edible. Some pigments are more dangerous than others, and solvents are always an issue, natural or otherwise. The American diet kills more people than anything else, so be most careful what you eat-it's our most constant and intense exposure to our environment.

@@BayemarArt I have a feeling Bayemar Art is playing with you. I have NEVER heard of one single artist saying something good about Mr. Alexander's work. I cant begin to tell you what this painting is let alone decide whether I think it's good or not. This whole Bob Ross Bill Alexander thing is just INSANE!!! "THE BEST?!!!!" you mean better than Michael Angelo, and all the Great Masters? Oh wait I forgot, they were nice guys, who relaxed you when you watched them... Well isnt that what art is all about? You folks may have the best intentions, but you dont realize all the truly magnificent art work is out there, done by artists who might be even more relaxing or nicer than Bob and Bill who will never get your attention because you're busy using what is supposed to be an ancient, well studied, respected discipline, as a drug to zonk you out, instead of LIFT YOU UP!!!!!
