Welcome to Sarah's second trimester highlights for Baby #3! She has quite a different experience with this pregnancy, and recaps weeks 13-26. Sarah has been newly deemed to have a high-risk pregnancy, and talks a little bit about gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, advanced maternal age and a few different pregnancy symptoms.

I appreciate that you are cautious and apprehensive about taking medications during pregnancy and that you did your homework. These doctors like to scare you about your age. I was born when my mother was 40 and she had my sister when she was 46. The doctors were scaring her left and right. We were both healthy and so was she.

If you are suffering from dry skin when you increase your bathing...try Jojoba oil. It's the closest to our own oils out there. You can add it to your scalp as well. Hope this helps. I'm looking forward to seeing baby #3. 😊

I've never been pregnant and don't give medical advice. I just want to say that for acid indigestion I drink a bit almond milk before bed. I heard this from Alex on the Phil and Alex channel. She was pregnant and she said that worked for her. I love you and your family!

Girl, hang in there. You're fine. My mom died recently while I was visiting. I don't feel like doing anything. Yes, including showering. So, I feel yah! I don't shower, but I do wash up. A long time ago, people did not shower every day. They had a big bowl of hot water and washed up. That's what I do. Just take care. Don't stress. Enjoy your life and family. God bless you. I was 36 when I got pregnant with twins, thank you Lord for fertility treatment! I was forewarned by a colleague that I'll have GDM so enjoy my dessert! Later that week, sure enough, I was diagnosed and had to go on insulin. I was so unprepared for that!! I don't miss those painful lancets I used to check my glucose. 😮

You’re one of my favorite couples. So, so sweet. I had to be on bed rest for my third daughter. I was bleeding and pregnant. Do not take Aspirin please. You might not be pre diabetic either. I have three daughters and never had HBP. AFTERi had daughter my blood pressure went up. I had POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION so blood pressure went up. I had to get on depression meds. My two youngest daughters are nurses. My oldest work for LAW FIRM. I’m so, so proud of them. I’ve watched it. I love listening to you. When is baby due? They are so beautiful.

You’ll get through it. You probably need a humidifier for the dryness and some moisturizing non greasy oil butter or cream.

I recommend Aveeno lotion or Neutrogena body oil. Both absorb really well, and should be applied immediately after a shower/bath to damp skin.

So glad that you do not take Dr's orders as gospel. Yes, some might need medication, but you're right to seek clarification as to why they feel you, personally, need to take aspirin. You're not a difficult patient. You're a rightfully cautious patient, as we all should be. Enjoy your pregnancy. You are actually glowing , in a healthy way 😊

Don't take anything you think is unsafe, your baby your choice. Aspirin is a drug, you right not putting anything in your body unnecessary. I don't take any drugs, my mom is 94 she take no drugs. She was on high blood pressure meds,she lost weight, healthy, no meds.fasting is the safest way to better health. I feel and look amazing .people think I'm in my thirties, my oldest son is 38.enough said. Be blessed.

Hi Sarah n Justin. Thanks for your detailed explanation of your condition. The country i live in does not handle issues so minutely (pregnancy). I'm now 58 had my 2 children by 27 and am thankful to God for taking care of most of us.But now the trend has changed,girls get married late and have children late. Hoping praying all are taken care of. Praying you have a safe delivery and healthy baby.Take care dear.♥️♥️♥️

I had to take aspirin while I was pregnant, and it saved my baby. My child is healthy and about to graduate high school. Good luck!

I do not take their advice unless I personally research it myself. I love to exercise, I eat super healthy. Had my baby girl at 39,healthy 8.3lb baby. No medicine,just vitamins, no sodas no junk food.

Hi Sarah ☺️ I'm 24 weeks today with my first baby boy after 5 girls and my Dr has me taking baby aspirin also...and at my anatomy scan I was told he's transverse and I have a anterior placenta 💙 I just started getting stronger kicks ☺️

Acid Indigestion is rough. I remember having it really bad with my 2nd and 3rd children (and they are only 360 days apart, so almost no time for relief). The only thing that really gave me a break was Strawberry Twizzlers. Good thing they've always been a favorite 😊. I was cracking up because Justin sounds like me when I sneeze, except I sneeze in multiples of 3 three all the time. Continuing to send up prayers for you and your precious little Park family ❤.

I’m pregnant with my 4th baby and second boy. The boy pregnancies were so much different than with my girls! I think it has something to do with the increase in testosterone in our bodies.

I just had my 3rd baby, had no high blood pressure and at 27 weeks I suddenly developed high blood pressure and had to deliver at 28 weeks. My baby spent 70 days in nicu.

Being of African decent we are naturally prone to dry skin no matter how much you shower or weather. Lotions and oils with Shea Butter, Coconut, or Olive Oil are great alternatives & last hours without applying all day long, except washing your hands.

Thus is good to know information. I am 34 years old and I had my baby last year. I had complications and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and severe fluid retention after giving birth. I was hospitalized a week after having my baby. It was horrible. They said that I'm considered high risk if I choose to have another baby. I'm working on getting my weight down and controlling my blood pressure (I gained 50lbs during the pregnancy). I want to have another baby before I'm too old but my husband is scared because I almost died. I'm staying hopeful that I can get my health back to normal before its too late to have a baby. I will look into taking aspirin the next time around if I get pregnant again. But for now I'm on birth control til further notice.

pre eclampsia is one of the blood pressure conditions Sara wants to avoid I'm sure. Maybe her low carb approach will help you too. Good luck

I’ve been binge watching all your pregnancy videos, Sarah! I am currently pregnant with my first and also was asked to start baby aspirin. I have a healthy weight and good blood pressure, but my doctor’s rationale was this is my first pregnancy (risk factor #1) and that my DAD has hypertension (risk factor #2). Why is it that my Dad’s poor diet & lack of exercise causes me to be prescribed aspirin? I thought that was a little bit of a stretch.

It’s does seems like stretch and you need to always get second opinions. If you question a doctors, do you really want them delivering your baby?

You know you are beautiful without makeup but I understand how a little makeup can cheer a person up. At least you don't have the short "mommy haircut" that many women I know resort to adopting. Also, the Keto diet could change your intestinal serotonin production. Chocolate and sugar will give you a hit of mood lifting serotonin, so I go for dark chocolate. Perhaps a little probiotic containing food? Yogurt, Kombucha, kimchi. I have done Keto to control my sugar. I manage to keep it normal, but probiotics are a huge help with the mild energy depression. You may be giving birth by the time this is posted. Hope you are all well.
