Jevil is also the black joker meaning he's "The Fool" while the shopkeeper was a magician ("The Magician") or in other words the red joker. "The Magician" is one rank above "The Fool" which is why the shopkeeper was able to lock Jevil up

Jevil is such a genius concept.He says: Hearts,diamonds I can do anything! While he is basically a Joker meaning he can be any card. This also makes sense knowing that the events of the game are taking place inside a card kingdom.While there are four kings,two of each color,the Joker can be anything and is commonly not used in playing cards for the game would be too chaotic if the Joker were to be used.That fits in with him being insane and obsessed with chaos.Also the Joker usually being set aside explains him being locked away.And the Devil can turn in to any shape and form so can the Joker\Jouster and the devil causes chaos so does the Joker\Jouster,concluding that the name Jevil is perfect.

Tbh, this fight is executed almost to perfection, I love jevil's no shits given attitude, coming at you with everything he has cause his only motivation is to have so much fun ! I also love how you can feel jevil getting more and more unhinged and basically dying with excitement as the fight goes on, as the party endures more and more attacks jevil gets more excited than before because he loves fighting strong, stronger opponents and just having so much fun ! This might be the best fight or atleast the close second to the spamton fight, this fight even though I died again and again I just never stopped feeling the fun ! SO MUCH FUN !!! (Also I defeated jevil in the deltarune Mobile port, so yeah I'm a pro 😎)
