One small detail I noticed is that in the toy store after Sam drops the robot, Ellie now has an actual animation for picking it up. In the original game she just crouched down and the toy disappeared. Also, Joel can play the symbols on the drum set in the hotel ball room by meleeing them.

The scales were actually working that, shit is bananas. The snow in Joel’s hair makes him look like he was in his 70s

That Seth thing was an awesome catch. Would have been cool if they’d managed to sneak Eugene in there somehow, but maybe that wouldn’t have made much sense given he was a little too close to Tommy to just get ignored. One quibble I have is with Maria’s hair, like given how grayish white her hair was in Part II, she did not age well at all in those 5 years, though you could say it’s just that her hair’s wet and just makes her blonde hair look darker, followed by 5 years of aging, still though… Did throw me off for a bit.

2:53 I wouldn’t say he weighs 200 pounds because of all his gear he has on but that’s a cool detail

I haven't got far yet, but I noticed a few of these myself, such as the scales working. One detail I noticed that isn't in this video is when you come out from walking in water and then onto dry land, your shoes make that soggy, squelching noise. I can't remember this detail being in the original. There's so many little details they added.

During the Hotel basement section - When the bloater comes for you it will create ripples in the water before it enters the door. I can't say i noticed that in the original

Really depressed now that i know joel is younger than i am.

Would be nice for objects like the wind chime or the globe, to simply be able to press triangle to interact, without a button prompt (cause it's not necessary) but just be able to simply interact with the environment outside of battles by a simple triangle press, and Joel would react accordingly on the objects that can move. It could be something like touching the books in the library, shooting the ball in Lincoln, turning the globe, and so on.

I think the remake graphically looks amazing (definitely can tell the difference from the ps3 Era and ps5. The color palate alone is way better) and the core mechanics are much much better, running, turning, aiming, shooting, mele combat etc all feel like part 2, it doesn't feel clunky anymore which is really nice. The different skin options is a very nice addition.I do think the dodge mechanic should have been included some how, maybe not to the extent of part 2 but it should have been put in to give us a bit more. I personally loved the remake but I definitely don't think the game is selling as good as naughty dog thought it would and it's understandable why people don't wanna buy the game...just don't hate on those who did buy the game and or intend to buy the game.

I feel like this game gets a bit too much hate, and it makes me a little sad sometimes because this game has really became apart of my life and I have so much love for it, but I think the remake was a beautiful addition to the series and I can't wait for more from Naughty Dog, because this remake honestly blew me out of the water and made me love the game so much more than I already did and also made me relive this game one more time, which made me too happy to even describe. I simply love this channel for showing us so many details :) Mostly because I usually don't notice them myself, or don't think about how amazing a certain detail actually is. Although I'm a little bit confused about the scales. I mean, I love that they are actually working, but SHOULD they work after twenty years into the apocalypse? I love the addition of the mirror, this could totally be used more often because of how useful it is. :) Apparently, Joel can only spin a globe violently, haha. What happens if you shoot at it? Or at the wind chime? Also, oh my God, Joel's birthday is this month ...! Btw, thanks for showing us the comparison with the original! While I assume that everything you showed here wasn't in the original, it's certainly great to actually see it :)

So I've recently read the beginning of this game was intended to play as Joel and the first infected would not be smashing through the window, rather Joel heads to the neighbours house after hearing a commotion than you go back and get Sarah. This change was one of the final things to be changed in the game. It would be interesting to see the neighbours house and if it has a lot of detail in there like Joel's house.

There's also a skeleton in university dorm rooms which you can punch and it moves about very realistically. And also in one of the bathrooms before entering Henry's secret hide out. You can shoot some mirrors and the mirror splits realistically (making bullet holes in the frame that holds the mirror)

So I worked at Naughty Dog for a really long time and was assigned for the physics of the snow on his entire body but the thing was was that when I went in to try and create the physics I had to go on recreate the environments physics as well to try and create this algorithm on both the actual snow and on Joel because every player is different with their own movement so every last movement of Joe throughout that very moment and throughout the course of the entire game for that matter is different depending on how you move the character in the very subtle difference that it makes going on and on and on so the algorithm is my fault. the fucking took me about a month to figure out but I enjoyed the fuck out of the fun I had and when I showed Neil Druckman the director of Naughty Dog, he ended up crying cause he told me of the time that he went out in the snow house that his family had when he was a boy and the thing that really made both of us cry was is one loved memory of his dad was doing snow angels outside of that house. And I somehow created the greatest physics engine Neil Druckman has ever seen in his life.

And the only possible answer is hitting it with a melee weapon, and yet nobody thought they should actually just make it break apart.

Cant wait for all the Out of Bounds videos about this. I wanna see whats inside these cutscenes and seemelss transitions. Just like other ND games theres insane detail in this one. Just sad that they couldnt quite reach Part2´s combat and the Enviroments are all the same. I dont meant to chnage major plot points, just some extra romms/ stairwells and different geometry to get our exploration sense going again. Not much innovation in this one...

Awesome, maybe next time they can focus on improving the actual gameplay instead of small things that are negligible in regards to overall experience
