If you drew into a new field spell, do you still get blocked?

@@ahmedelsayed7000 no you can play the field spell if you drew it. Only your triamid monster effects get blocked because they must target the field spell before changing it and that malefic spell doesn't let you target any field spell even yours.

This goes ham on Triamids, like even decks that seal the GY had instances of stopping your opponent from playing. This is hilarious.

It has nothing to do with the ruling bc it literally says so (even tho they could point that out much better)

@@musiyevonchilla6769 yeah i know but usually continous spells and traps only work when their on the field, hence the term continous, you can even negate their activated effects with mst or something, there is a reason even dekayed was surprised by this.

I didnt know that either until I checked the video, checked the rules about that card & red the card with close attention. Thats why I wouldnt blame DKayed for that bc playing against Malefic isnt a common matchup (allthough u used to play against them a lot, but that was on EDOPro)

Nope it's not. It's a youtube deck. Win some games lose whole bunch more. I tried and failed, so many decks counters this.

How can it get you in trouble

@@ColdspaceDog you have to tell your opponent how the card works. It's considered cheating if you don't tell. Frozen soul is another example. It only says the OPs next BP is skipped but the hidden ruling is that your OP must attempt to enter the BP for the effect to be completed. If OP goes directly from MP1 TO EP, frozens effect is still there and it will take effect until whenever OP goes to BP and when he does on whatever next turn he does it and you tell him his BP is skipped, you are cheating and OP can call judge on you for concealing hidden card effects.

@@pascaltillack in order to play Malefics u need a field spell face up before u summon them, otherwise u are kinda screwed. The skills garantees that u always have a field spell ko matter what
