Composed by Hiroki Kikuta. Recreated by me. This was made possible by locating the original instrument samples from workstation keyboards and drum machines before they were put into the game and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. Very atmospheric! Never got around to play SoM... Still on the list, especially now with this restored OST!

If you do, make sure your magic and weapons are leveled up as maxed as you can get them. I believe you can only get some rare armor from chest drops here. First played this game with my older brother in 1998, we were just kids but made a good team. You can easily get one shooted by any monsters in this place, as we found out many times.

Always loved the Pure Land as a kid. The atmosphere was very relaxing, even though I got stomped a few times! Also remember finding a bug there that caused one of my characters to be permanently confused and ended up calling NINTENDO POWER HOTLINE of all things to see if they had a fix, lol

Jajaaj that's funny , me and my brother got stomped many of times . Very first time we arrived at the pure land we all got one shoted.

That's crazy about the bug! And when I was playing this part, I had to grind hard as well for better armor because I kept getting stomped as well

LOL. I realized this after it was too late. I was probably 3 hours in at this point in my segment. This neko always gets me since he only appears after all is done at the palace
