@@shanecloete32 1 pip= 10 micro pips (points) so 50 pips =500 micro pips/points. So when you divide to get the lot size you would then say $1000/500 micro pips. When you're on trading view and you place your risk to reward tool, notice it will show you the measurement in pips so you simply add an additional zero to it to get the amount in micropips

@shanecloete32 If you are trading Indices/Futures, the change in price is calculated in POINTS. In order to calculate risk, he is converting points into PIPS. Forex currencies are also measured in PIPS, so no conversion will be needed when trading these.

my account is only 10k and broker provide 1 contract size , and i want to risk 1% . so calculation would be : 10k*0.01 = $100 risk , SL is 120 pips . 100/120 = 0.83 so my lot size will be 0.80 right ?

Its all different with prop firms. I'm still trying to find what lot size to use on a prop with US30 and Gold on a 1:100 leveraged $100K account. 5/% DD. They are non MT4/5 aa well. With props, I can't find their lot size details. I've even asked in Discord chat-they don't have it. Well. It has to be somewhere, correct?
