Today is a bittersweet day indeed :( We have finally come to the end of our 6 days in Athens and the entirety of our European holiday! Our final day in Athens couldn't have ended any better however as we stop off at 2 legendary Athenian eateries to fill our stomachs before we go. Our first stop is Kostas for some legendary burger pitas and souvlaki and our last stop is Diporto Secret Underground Restaurant! Diporto is an incredible and easy-to-miss hole in the wall restaurant that became one of our most treasured meals and experiences in the whole trip! So stick around for another day of delicious and amazing Greek food!

the oil in the salad ... the juice in the giant beans is for dipping into the bread .... I hope one day you will also visit Thessaloniki .... try a sweet Panorama triangle.... a bagatsa that in Athens is called only with cream .... a bagatsa you call a sheet of dough and inside it has many flavors .... sweet zouzouk delight with nut .... to try a Macedonian (Greece) kebab with pork, chicken and for your friend with lamb 😊 and Halkidiki in a fish tavern to eat fresh fish .... try also syrupy sweets whose origin is from the Greeks of Asia Minor and Constantinople.... and you know Thessaloniki we drink Cold Coffee Frappe

I loved the video! And your commentary was to notch! Let me just say; why is no other Greek commenter saying anything about how much oil was in the giant beans (Lima beans)? I was kind of concerned but it looks really yummy!

Diporto (two doors mean in greek) should change name to "Ohh my god!!" Every tourist or local eat for first time he start mumble "Ohh my god!!" Very old restaurant with original tastes. Its unbelievable really. The chickpea and beans are my favorite. The only place that i eat sardines.

The thing is that our moms and grandmoms cook these foods and they do it better than most of these restaurants..we eat healthy (kinda) here in greece ! Keep up the good work and stay away from mainstream places when you come back to greece..and remember there are so much more than Athens and "famous" islands.

Αυτό το ταβερνάκι στο υπόγειο στο κέντρο είναι ότι πιο χαληα φαγητό και για υπόγειο πολύ ακριβό 🤮🤮.. Έζησα 28 χρόνια στη Ελλάδα ξέρω πολύ καλά τη είναι καλό φαγητό ❤️λυπάμαι πού όλη η youtber πάνε σε αυτά τα μέρη τα τουριστικα😪.... Μπράβο για το βίντεο πεδια ❤️!

The food in Diporto is actually the everyday Greek household cuisine. Mostly vegeterian or 100% vegan. Most tourists only know Souvlaki and Gyros :(

My experience was not good at all. Sadly because I was totally looking forward to it. I drug my BFF to it! Seems they didn’t relate (or speak) to two women traveling without a male.

1:12 its not a "gyros" its a "souvlaki: or "pita with beef" . Gyros in an other kind of meat you put in a pita

Stay away from this restaurant people! The ambiance is great but once I saw the owner poor cotton oil in the food... I was shocked and never stepped in there again...
