Schuychu, I can back it up. Every time you kill an ink creature, it pops and soaks into the floorboards. So what I think is: The ink then runs from the wood to the ‘ocean’ of ink and gets processed through the machine again.

If you need proof in chapter 3 Alice Angel says she started as an inky whom (something like that) and she might be saying she started as a searcher then she turned into Alice Angel so that might be happening to Sammy too since he died he has been reanimated as a searcher then later to his normal form

I agree!! Please explore that more! ^__^ That tunnel was the animation that happens when you die, the "inky womb" of the Machine. It seems like way too much for just a cosmetic change.

Fun Fact: The Scythe is more powerful than the Tommy Gun. It can 2 shot The Projectionist. It can 2 shot Sammy Lawrence. And it can 5 shot the Searcher Boss.
