I wish more fertility doctors were like you! I had to watch KZfaq videos to figure out how to mix and inject my meds. I have felt very much alone and in the dark in my IVF process. Thank you for making this channel!! I feel more informed watching you than with my doctor.

Christie Etukudor ❤️it is common. Here’s what I would do: 1. Make sure you have had a hysterosalpingogram aka HSG to make sure the fluid isn’t coming from the tubes 2. If HSG is normal, I start progesterone in the usual way and if you still have fluid then start over with a different protocol. If gone then I comfortably move forward. I would ask the patient to come in the same day as the transfer and wait to thaw until this last fluid check.

I am 43 and my AMH is 2.4 and FSH is 8... But nothing was happening even though all "channels were clear. We are doing IVF now. THANK you for helping me make the list of questions. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! My levels are fantastic for my age because of all kinds of hocus pocus LOL Ubiquinnol, DHEA, Melatonin, Prenatals, and Vit D.

I just started my injections of gonal f last night 😬 I started with Levlen birth control for 3 weeks ago....at age 43 with an AMH of 16 and a few small fibroids and.....pcos(no weight related issues) im nervous excited! I stopped drinking alcohol 2months ago and I alternate decaf coffee with half strength coffee 1 per day. Trying to eat more vege and fruit and a tad less meat....and manage my stress levels. What I can never understand is how many....drug addicts/alcohol dependent/overweight....women fall pregnant soo easily 😔 i feel like i live the life of a hermit. Really enjoying your channel. Oh the injections don't hurt at all 🥰

@Mrs Clark Yea I think about it all the time how drug addicts/alcoholics get pregnant without any limitations. My Amh is 1.4 and got 2 fibroids. My Dr says is ok to go for IVF. Baby dust to u.

How was your IVF cycle at 43? Same age as you I just finished mine .My embryos (2) are growing slowly have until tmw 7 days mark..still hopefull but realistic..thinking already why can I do better if I try again.

Oh how I wish my doctor was like you!!! You are truly amazing! I’ve seen my doctor once for IVF and his assistant this whole time she’s awesome, but she shouldn’t be doing he’s work. I’m doing egg retrieval tomorrow and only have 9 follicles. Praying for the best 🙏 Omg you are the best of the best! I had to go to KZfaq to watch videos for my shots!! Also I’m almost 40 and was on birth control for 36 days 😢 it made me so upset to be on birth control just to be on their schedule.

@@EggWhisperer thank you for your words unfortunately when it was all said and done it was just 4, 2 fertilized but they both stopped growing day 5. My heart was shattered. My IVF journey came to an end. I wish I could afford more treatments, but that not the case. Best wishes to those trying. Infertility is heartbreaking 😔

I love that you're open to anyone and not just your patients. It shows what you really care about!❤❤ You said the baseline scan is to check see if there are any cysts. What if there is a cyst, is the cycle cancelled to get rid of it or it'll let you know how much medication is needed because of it (cyst)??

I'm retrieving soon and had ZERO priming whatsoever. My doctor wanted a mid-luteal start, which apparently relies on ovulation for priming. But when I went to get my baseline, my ultrasounds and bloodwork were consistent with early follicular phase instead. They started me on stims anyway since my follicles apparently looked where they should be. It was the oddest experience.

How to decide the protocol for egg stimulation if the egg size doesn't. Grow to optimum more than 17 mm and does not release on its own ?? We used FSh 75 on day 2 4 6 8 and OI but unsuccessful.

Amazing Dr. Amiee, it's a great show! I'm about to start medications in couple days. I've noticed there's one protocol you showed in the video that the Gonal F 300 ( AM), Menopur x 4 (PM) and Centrotide ( PM ), here is my 1st question about the injection time, does it matter? My doctor indicates to take Gonal F and Menopur in the AM together, only Centrotide in the PM? My 2nd question about HGH, you added this medication in 3 different protocols, what's the benefit from it? Is it necessary? Thank you

hi Melinda!! HGH may improve egg quality, maturity and count! I don't dose meds in the way you're doing them but that's okay!!! It doesn't have to be my way to still work really really well. Are there any safety concerns with taking human growth hormone as part of an IVF protocol? I noticed there are studies out there (mainly looking at GH supplementation in children) that discuss a potential association between GH and certain cancers (i.e., colorectal, bladder). Should I be concerned with that, if I have normal GH levels, and use GH as an adjunct in IVF?

I had one tube removed and was told I needed Ivf to get pregnant. I wasn’t told if my other tube was blocked or not. What should I do 1st to start the journey towards getting pregnant?

Hi Dr. Aimee! I’m on my day #11 of stimulation meds, my follicles are measuring about 17-18, I have a couple over 20. They told me I might need a couple more days on meds before the trigger shot. Anything you would recommend to improve the quality and size of my follicles at this point? Thank you! ☺️😊

hi! I wouldn't be waiting longer if you were my patient for the trigger shot but since I'm not the doc in this case, I bet your doc knows what they're doing for you and why. I'd say, have sex! check opk and keep me posted and don't sweat it if you don't make it for the trigger shot.

@@EggWhisperer I had my trigger shot last night, had my last sonó today and we have lots of eggs ranging from 19-25 in sizes. I’m scheduled for the egg retrieval tomorrow morning! 🙏🏼 happy they mature❤️ so excited and at the same time very nervous. Praying everything goes well tomorrow. I won’t be doing the transfer until December bc we are testing the embryos. I’ve watched all of your videos and I wanna say thank u! U are awesome dr Aimee! 💕

I love watching your show it's amazing...I feel great after I heard some stuff...as I feel like my doctor is using same protocol...I am 31 with low AMH and high FSH had 2 horrible IVF cycle complete fail....And finally about to start 3rd IVF cycle just waiting for my period to start as doing without birth control....please share if I can take any supplements while taking shots or anything that can give me better chance...couldn't start past 2 cycle as I have cyst which I am hoping is gone by this cycle....I am with Stanford fertility...can you recommend accupunture place in Santa Clara, CA Thank you Krupa Patel

There are so many questions that they cant answer ; its unknown for them and thats frustrating. Like they can’t answer why your grown 4 or 5 follicles did not make any baby.with a good AMH level. I was terrified when i heard they use letro. For breast cancer. My hair started shedding and i felt horribly anxious and depressed and this is very odd cause i never felt like that in my entire life.my obgyn referred you but i think your office doesn’t accept insurance.

My doctor recommended IVF because my husband has low /poor sperm count and mobility. I also did test on my side and my ovaries and everything came back normal . No problems. We haven’t actually TRIED meaning tracking and baby dancing on OV day until now so do I just jump into IVF or find another way? Or can you we try some pills to help improve his sperm overall ? Btw I’m 25

Im 30 and i have a high AMH, my doctor gave me northisterone for 2 weeks, then let me bleed for 5 days and the stimulate with menopure 150 and cetrotide from day 3, is this what you would have done, im worried i wont have that many follicles and eggs!

I'm 41, TSH 1.63, AMH 2.4, I'm ovulating around day12, with 26 day cicle/month.Since 3 month I'm taking vit D, folat, coenzime Q 10,probiotics.My issue is that I have Hashimoto (hypothyroidism) and my antibodies are in range, but at the high limit.in March I'll have my ICSI cycle and I'm afraid of miscariage because of my hashimoto desease. What can I do to eliminate this risk?please be so kind and answer to me.

Thank you for posting this question. I can definitely understand why this would make you worry about miscarriage. I want to share this article with you: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30098697 In this report, you'll see that the women who had miscarriages didn't have a higher rate of having anti-thyroid antibodies. As long as your TSH is well-managed and your antibodies stable, I think your chance of miscarriage isn't higher than seen in people without hypothyroidism.

Hi there, I am 41 with DOR. I had a co-flare cycle and although I had 10 eggs at start, only 2 grew at 17 & 18 mm. Now my doctor wants to do antagonistic protocol and start with birth control to stop dominant follicle. Do you recommend that?

Atoo Az I would never say that what your doctor is doing is wrong but I just personally don’t use birth control pills in women over 40 because you may get less eggs to grow

Atoo Az one thing I do in cases like this is take half a dose of the antagonist on the first day of stim. I find this also works well in cases where two follicles grow and faster than the rest. The other thing to consider is a hybrid protocol where you start with pills like Femara 7.5 mg for two days before adding shots and take the Femara for a total of 5. hi Dessiann. Ask them about the actual doses. Consider a lupron + hcg dual trigger or no HCG at all. Ask about bromocriptine + femara to also help prevent OHSS. And drink whey protein

I would try to bank and freeze as many embryos you can. If possible consider doing even three cycles so you have a chance to have more than one child if you want that.

Via L. I would have someone guide you on this after careful review of your HSG. If you have a hydrosalpinx your tubes are unlikely open and the egg and sperm can’t meet in the tubes. I would consider doing ivf to freeze embryos first then consider removing or disconnecting the tubes before your transfer.

Im pre-menopause and I’m on birth control because we are doing our frozen embrios transfer in one month. If my hormones are in pre menopause, can this be cause of failure of the transfer?

not at all! Your doc will put you on meds to mimic ovulation. I'm glad you asked.

yes! Repeat the analysis. See a urologist to rule out: varicocoele, genetic issue, retrograde ejaculation and other hormonal issues that could cause this. Be as healthy as possible, avoid: nicotine, THC and alcohol. Start taking antioxidants. Consider IVF with TESE. Great question.

I am interested in GHG omnitrope for my next IVF cycle and my doctor is open to it as long as I bring him a protocol is being used. I am having a hard time finding information regarding protocols and dosage for Omnitrope from fertility settings. Just looking examples or to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you for all your great info!!

This is one protocol. You can take it every other day: For Omnitrope/Human Growth Hormone (hgh): Initially, draw up all diluent/water from the accompanying water vial and inject into hgh powder vial using your 3ml syringe with the mixing syringe, which will make it a multi-dose vial. Then using the orange capped insulin syringe, draw up your dose (to the # 25 on the orange capped aka insulin syringe) and inject as directed on your calendar. You will have #4 doses of 25 units and then a leftover dose. When you get to this point, simply mix a new vial of Omnitrope/hgh and withdraw the difference to equal your 25 units. Ask your doctor because if they feel it will increase your chance for pregnancy and decrease risk of miscarriage you may want to consider it

I have precancerous cells around my uterus. So I cant get pregnant normally.. so my fertility doctor recommended IVF. What are my chances to actually having a baby, I turn 41 next year. I have taken many test, my egg quality is good. I been trying to get pregnant for 5 years.. i just want my bundle of joy in my arms.. it is very depressing.

Hello everyone. Infertility is a curse and this disease is increasing . More work should be done to solve this issue. Be positive in every situation. ivf dealing infertility with successful.many couples become mom and dad due to this blessing treatment.we should spread the information about ivf treatment.

It means you have a lot of eggs! It doesn't have to mean there's anything wrong. If however you have irregular cycles, it could mean you have PCOS. See a PCOS specialist to learn more (a doc like me!). And talk to your doc about repeating the AMH as well.

@@EggWhisperer thank you! I was concerned that it was high. My cycles are every 30 days 7 days long. The only thing that may be abnormal is heavy bleeding. I am 37 years old. Could that be an obstacle in conceiving? Thanks again 😊

@@WinberryHome no, I would look at other things in tushymethod.com to see if you're missing blocked tubes, low sperm count.
