I'm loving this tour! I so appreciate being able to see these Roman city remains from across the pond. If I ever get back to London, this video will serve as a guide of must-see locations.

Glad it’s been really helpful for you!! We also have a second video which has even more sites from London! 🤎

Lovely tour, ladies. Thank you for taking us along. The grave of the Roman girl is very special. She was loved, buried, and then forgotten for centuries. Very heart warming that she now has a proper memorial. Although her name is forgotten, her presence in that spot will now be remembered in perpetuity.

Thank you 🙏 such touching words, it was a very special moment in the tour, especially as the sun was setting it was very atmospheric. Never forgotten 🤎

Really Really Brilliant!! I've been to London twice but didn't really see the Roman bit....would love to come back and see all of this as well!!!! Just very very good y'all!!!! Merry 2024

Something to look forward to on your next trip Greg!! We’ve been so many times but it not until you start hunting for the Roman history that you realise it’s everywhere! But have never noticed it before 😂

Thank you for the excellent tour! I was in London October 2023 and "walked the wall" from the Tower to the currently closed Museum of London; I totally agree that a visit to All Hallows by the Tower should be included-I visited the church on an earlier visit-I picked up some "extras" to visit on my next trip to London. I loved Salter's Garden and the cafe there was lovely with great food.

Thank you for watching! Sounds like you’ve been able to visit a lot of sites in London! All Hallows was definitely a highlight for us too 🤓 We still haven’t been able to get to the bath house, that’s still on our to do list 😂🤎

I just read your latest newsletter,and I must concede to the majority,it sounds like Bath is your next hotspot! But here’s the thing that blew my mind: There are Roman LIGHTHOUSES over there??? That’s amazing.

London! Ugh! You two ladies are brave. As a proper countryman I loathe it, or anywhere like it. It made me almost panic when i first went there in the '80s. Mind you. I spect the majority of people born in 'the smoke' would be similar if they had to kip in a forest with foxes, deer and boar. Each to their own. I really enjoyed this video, as I do all your videos. Safer from my chair than walking around in that hell-hole! What a big whimp eh. Former tin miner and all that🤣. Boudica had the right idea😉.

😂 Laughing about your Boudicca reference 🤣 We always feel completely wiped out by the end of a London trip! It’s full on!! But quite enjoy the Tube! 🚇

Cool video. Maybe you've covered these bits before but there is the free to visit London Mithraeum in Bank and the section of the Roman Basilica in the basement of the hairdressers in Leadenhall Market. Many thanks.

I really loved this. If I have to choose a favourite site from those mentioned in this video it would be the Roman piling by the Church of St Magnus the Martyr because it is a rare and significant find, and because it was near the old entrance to the city. Now I will have to check out your other video on Roman Londinium. 😊👍

Thanks ladies for bringing this tour and nice to see Katie. Funny thing is I have livid in London early all my life and never been to any of the individual sites you showed us. I been to the area, but missed all these interesting things out, when it bit warm these are going on the to do list, loved all the locations, thanks again
@RomanFound7 ай бұрын
I think a lot of these sites are so easy to miss! London has such a fast pace you forget to slow down and look around! Definitely worth stopping by these sites, a fun day out on a Roman treasure hunt! 🤎

Rochester, Canterbury or maybe Pevensey castle. They're way away for you however. The latter I have learnt has produced a sword and an axe last Summer from magnet fishing close to where the Old shoreline ran. Nice combo there, enjoyed your tour.

Well,I certainly think that Hadrians wall is well worth sharing,particularly the forts and their museums within. Perhaps you have released a video of that,and I have yet to catch it. If you do,please warn me ahead of time if you talk about Sycamore gap,as I am deeply heartbroken about that. I’m a tree person,and visiting that fine specimen in 2016 meant the world to me

There is a piece of wall in the underground car park at the Barbican and another bit at Cripplegate.There is also a Roman Mithras temple in the Bloomberg building.basement.I remember they found a Roman boat at Guys hospital when they were building the new King’s college building opposite the main hospital.There is a statue outside the Cancer centre.
