I LOVE Hawaii!!! It’s majestic and so magical 💚♥️ you’re so lucky to live there! I went to Maui and drive the road to Hanna. It was awesome…. Though all the tourists who park on the side of that skinny road gave me anxiety. We didn’t park… kept driving to respect locals and not jam up the road. Loved Hawaii!

@@plantluxxe For sure as much as I can I have been watching/catching up on your videos. Was a mad dash to get the new battery put into the riding mower and get the lawns mowed. This mechanical stuff is so far out of my knowledge but it worked!!! Guy told me how to fix the choke lever fuel control linkage and it worked too. Gee might be hiring out pretty soon. Hahaha NOT The first of my wide leaf adansonii arrived today and she is a Beauty. So much larger than I expected. She is ready to climb!! So pleased. Second of the two is supposed to arrive Friday. I want to get this first one planted as she is sort of bare root. I have one other small one not sure if it is a wide leaf or not. Paid a lot for it. As least it is nice and healthy. I am going to plant all three together so will plant the two I now have and add in an empty pot as a placeholder in the pot for the third one as soon as it gets here. Then I am sending them all up the trellis. Need to rest first then build that trellis. Watching your plant tour #2.

Do you happen to know how this plant compares to the Song Of Jamaica plant? I think that is the type I have. Mine are similar to this, but the coloring is reverse. The darker green is on the outside of the leaves and the more yellowy green is on the inside. I have 4 fairly large plants that are outdoors in pots. I live in southern Thailand where it is hot all year round with a lot of sun, but I built a shading area for them so they get bright, indirect sun. I am very new to caring for plants, and want to make sure I am doing everything I can for them. But I am not sure on how much to water. The place I bought them from said to water them everyday, but from what I've seen online, some things say once a week and other things have said more often than that. I'm so confused. If you know anything about those plants, I would appreciate any advice you may have. Your Song of India is absolutely gorgeous!

Your plant sounds gorgeous!! 🌿💚🪴 if you keep it outdoors, watering will be more frequent and I would check the soil with my finger to determine how dry it is. Because they are outdoors, you watering schedules is determined by several factors like humidity, temperature, precipitation, etc…. @plantluxxe
@plantluxxe 3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Unfortunately, any soil is succeptable to fungus gnats. It's usually due to overeating or soil that stays moist and doesn't dry completely. You can add bark/perlite to add some more drainage. Or mix in a cactus mixture to get more drainage. You'll want to let your soil dry out.... you can also treat yours with neem oil and peroxide. I use miracle grow, but there are several other great brands out there. Hole this helps. I will do a video on it soon... great idea.

I got a dracaena song of India (reflexa) from Walmart 2.5 weeks ago, and it's leaves are already turning brown and showing some whitish spots on them!! I've watered it 3 times since I got it, and I keep it on a windowsill (I live on the 17th floor of my building, so it gets pretty direct sunlight). It's relatively near a heating vent, but not close enough that it's getting direct hot air flow on it. I love this plant so much, and I'd really like it to last, so does anyone have any advice for me? (Thanks in advance!)

@rougepeach2363
@rougepeach2363 2 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't be putting it in direct sunlight. Medium to high indirect light. Also you've watered it way too many times in 2.5 weeks. Typically, you should go about 2 weeks before watering it, but check soil before doing it. Also, make sure the water is filtered or distilled. Tap water will burn the leaves.

Oh my! I am sorry to hear that you are getting bullied--that is NOT cool! We, here in the plant community, do not tolerate bullies! However, to answer your question.... yes, there are MANY different cultivars of pothos; however, there are no "giant" cultivars that I am aware of. The only GIANT pothos that exist are the ones who have reached full maturity. This can only happen with TIME, and proper and adequate sunlight, fertilization, and water. Hopefully this answer will satiate those plant bullies out there! Best wishes, and thank you so very much for watching my videos...I greatly appreciate your support here on my channel!

Hi Velvet! Thank you for watching! I brothe the Dracaena plant popularly known as Lemon Lime is of the Janet Craig variety. That cultivar is much different than the Song of India. 😊💚🌿 Hope that helps! Come back again soon!💚❤🌱
