Can we do multiple layers with this type of vinyl? For example if we want to make like a 3D effect?What cutting setting do I have to use on cricut explore air 2 or on cricut maker?

I have to run a batch of basketball jerseys that need logos on the front / numbers on the back. Done them many times, but this batch is reversible. I’m doing white on one side red on the other and I’m worried about the htv sticking to the inside of the jersey once I reverse it and press the other side. Any tips for this?

Good info....I am a newbie to this stuff but I work with Stretch lycra and make costuming for dance s and skaters. The fabric I use is very stretchy...I would like to make applique type designs with my brother scan n cut and wondering if this would work...would it stay on if I followed these directions?

Yes, you can press Siser EW Stretch onto Lycra, but you may encounter issues with the pressure required to properly press this material. Lycra and other synthetic materials tend to scorch at lower temperatures. So you'll want to do a test press to make sure this process is going to work with your materials in particular.

Can I use the recommended heat,pressure and time for more delicate products like polyester,rayon,spandex or nylon?

Hi Joanne! For heat sensitive fabrics, we would recommend going lower in time and temp. Most manufacturer's provide the settings for different fabric types :)

I'm using the easy weed stretch and my cricut doesn't cut through every part. It leaves small amount still attached. What cut settings should I be using to cut the easyweed stretch?
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 3 жыл бұрын
You can view Siser's recommended settings for Cricut machines here: www.siserna.com/easyweed-stretch/ In general, if a cutter is "stitching" your cuts - leaving small bits still attached - you may want to inspect the blade. Make sure it's clean and sharp. You'll also want to ensure your material is sitting flat on the cutting mat with no bubbling.

can this be applies to 90% polyester 10%spandex black yoga pants without leaving scorch marks at those temperatures?
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the fabric, honestly. Some manufacturers use better quality materials that hold up better to heat pressing. While it's very likely you'll see some sort of press mark, the only way to know for sure is to do a test press / wash test.

Also, what cut setting do you use on a cricut. Its It's not cutting it. I've tried multiple settings including Iron- On +
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 4 жыл бұрын
Gonne be honest, I'm not sure. We don't carry Cricut products, so I'm not familiar with their cutters. But it sounds like you could use a new blade? Also, be sure to use a cutting mat when cutting HTV. Hopefully someone else reading with a little Cricut knowledge this can chime in. You can also submit this question to our Facebook group: heat.press/FBgroup -Jared

So when cutting in Cricut to make a shirt, is the frosted side up?? Mirror on. How would you apply if you are putting designs on both front and back of shirt (3 layers)? I bought Sier Stretch from you all but I'm a little intimated about using it because of the layers and the fact it's a shirt that has designs on both sides. I'm scared of it shrinking or not applying properly. Please help!
@HeatPressNation
@HeatPressNation 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, always cut your heat transfer vinyl with the frosted/matte/soft side up and have your image mirrored. I would recommend setting your heat press to heavy pressure at Siser's recommended settings (320F/20sec). Pre-heat your garment for about 5-10 seconds and let any and all steam come out. (It also helps to use garments that are pre-shrunk.) Do that, and you shouldn't have any issues with Siser Stretch. I've used this material on a lot of my own projects, with these methods and haven't had any issues. -Jared

Yes, for sure. The formula hasn't changed. Siser had to update their recommendations to be a little "overkill" to ensure that everyone is pressing their Stretch properly.

This special HTV requires a latex, solvent, or eco-solvent printer.
