A step by step guide to effortless VA website login for military veterans!
1. Head to www.va.gov and in the top right hand corner, click the blue box that says “sign in.”
Pro Tip: For best results use the Firefox browser on your computer when accessing any government site.

2. Once you click that box, you are taken to a page with four options. Id.Me is the one that I have found to be the easiest, so we're going to use that one.

3. Click on the green box, id.me, and then it'll take you to a page to sign in or create account. Websites that have a military discount sometimes use a website like id.me to verify that you are military, so you may already have a sign in for that, but if you don't, you'll need to create an id.me account.
4. To create an account, enter your email, create a password, and then agree to the terms of service. They're going to send you an email to your email address that will have a confirmation and you're ready to go.
5. So now we are redirected to the VA website, and you'll notice in the top right hand corner is your email address!
6. Time to Verify your identity. Sign into Id.Me
7. Upload photos of your license or state id.
8. Enter your social security number.
9. Check that your information is correct, then click agree.
10. Now they're gonna spend a few seconds to verify your identity and then return you to the VA website, where now in the top right hand corner, you should have your first name. So that means you are good to go. You have been cleared and have signed in successfully to the va.gov website!
