It was different... But each Native Tribe have their own way of doing a wedding ceremony. He spoke his native language, his own feathers and the blessing he performed for this beautiful couple.

He is a member of the Havasupai tribe. The Grand Canyon was their home for centuries.

Sorry but I can’t connect. Some natives make their living doing “ceremonies” that are not authentic. A beautiful couple but this makes me very uncomfortable!

I think this is a Havasupai ceremony. The officiant is a Havasupai chief.

Every single wedding is different. Even Indians (India ceremonies) are different. Obviously this indigenous man is partaking (probably paid) so they are getting as Native American as they can get without being ridiculed for taking y'all's rituals and things. I was wondering , aren’t native Americans matriarchal kinship ? I came here looking for a wedding of a tribe to see how they celebrate . But once he said “who presents Annie in this ritual” , I got sadden . I came here in looking to see if I could find a ceremony where the man is present to the woman.

I have been privilege to attend several native American wedding ceremonies -- this is not like anything I've ever seen. I hope the officiator had the legal power to marry these guys. I think he made up his own ceremony -- good luck!
