The elderly man was frozen with fear as he stood atop an escalator at the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke, Mass. That's when 23-year-old Alonzo Johnson stepped in, locking arms with the senior citizen and helping him down the escalator. The older man was terrified to get on because of a previous frightening experience he once had on an escalator, according to Johnson. #InsideEdition

N B That’s true. I was behind a woman at a restaurant. She was paying and forgot her credit card. I paid her bill. It was under $10. She wanted to pay me back but I told her just to help someone else. It’s what we need in this world today.

Don't ever get impatient or nasty when you see someone like this. Try to help. If a person can't move quickly, those things can be death traps, and the fear is perfectly justified.
