People can do some weird things to old machines. You are farther ahead than I am with some of my projects. It looks like you have been cleaning or painting it as well. Cannot wait to see finished bike. Thanks for update.

Good job Dana, its amazing how people can bodge a bike up so badly good thing you had what we call the Norwegian blueprint ( no offence to people from norway) just an expression but is the best way to figure out what someone messed up or lost parts for.😊

I do love these old 400’s, in particular the ZXR400 L models. It’s such a shame new parts are no longer available for these fun pocket rockets, over wise I’d be happy to own one again.

hello we use to use crazy glue on the end or the seal it works well you can actually buy the kits that come with glue razor blade a gauge and assorted sizes and lengths of rubber seal ( in Canada we call them oil ring or o'ring kits) they come in metric and imperial
