Nigeria has the biggest and the best music industry in Africa and Nigeria Afrobeat is a global success. However Nigerian music and Afrobeat is facing competition from South Africa and other countries in the world. Nigerian music has been dominating in many African countries for long now but some Africans are not happy about it . Recently the South African singer Tyla is used by many to compete against Nigerian music stars

Nigeria artists should come together and snub the Grammy and BET. Afro beats gives them popularity these days. They should be subbed

I think only Davido attended the BET 24 Event. Tems won but she didn't attend the event. Burna Boy didn't attend the BET Award Event. Ayra Starr didn't attend. Asake too didn't attend the event. Davido should stop attending those FAKE American Award Events, he like showing off too much.

Why are you worrying about her? She will end up being a one hit wonder.... as for Grammy or BET, many great artistes worldwide dont even win awards; so awards is not a good judge of good music esp with the grammys which is filled with politics. Afrobeats will reign for a long long time cos its more of a cultural thing not just the music or entertainment

There's nothing really amapiano about Tyla's music. It's more of American culture with some Amapiano drum beat forced into it. Tyla lacks that huge African fan base that will sustain her if she fails to win over a good number of American supporters that she's fighting for. Honestly, it won't be easy for her to sustain a considerable number of American fans, which is why she may soon fade away since there is no Huge American support, and no African fan base to fall back to.

She's just a studio artist. That's what Americans describe her as. They know she has no root and is being held up as part of an agenda... It's a question of time. She'd fade away. They are not helping her at all...rather they are constructively killing her career

7:47 True talk, Ajim! That's what whyte people do. They are so scared of powerful Black men. Any opportunity they have to minimize the importance of Black people they will jump on it. Yes, Tyler is an Industry Plant. She's being used to disrupt Nigeria's climb to the top. Nigeria should create her own Award Ceremony and invite Jamaican artists, American artists and other artists from Africa 🌍 and honor them. Groups like Steel Piles, Aswad, Morgan Heritage Family, Burning Spear, Third World 🌎 should be honored during the African Music Festival, to be held in Lagos, Nigeria, National Arts Theater every year. I'm telling you, it will be a Block -Buster event. Thank you 🙏 Ajim for noticing the wickedness of these people. Peace out 🙏.

Tems won the BET 24 Award but she didn't attend the event. Burna Boy didn't attend, Ayra Starr didn't attend, Asake too didn't attend. I think only Davido attended the BET Award Event but it's the time for Davido should respect himself and stop attending all these FAKE American Award Events. You can use that time for your own show. This's the reasons why many people respect Wizkid. Even Wizkid fought BET somewhere 2012 or 2013 for given the Awards to African musicians in backstage.

In the last year: This is what she did: 1 billion streams and almost 300 million views on KZfaq. Her album charted in 160 countires simultaneously and she landed on spot numer 24 on the USA Billboard charts. Water went double platinum and JUMP has made GOLD. She had 7 songs in the Africa TOP 10, of the Africa Top 100. Never been done in history. REMA won his award (Americans had to remix the original) and he deserved it. Tyla won her awards and she deserved it this year. Next year is another story. She will not release another album next year - She is touring - So you all have a chance. LOL.

This is so interesting. So all those years that only Nigerian artists were being recognised by bet awards, not once did any African country complain. And now because it isn't a Nigerian winning, you're out here being prejudice. Out of all the countries in Africa, only you want to be the known ones?! Only your music is supposed to be appreciated?! This hatred towards Tyla has opened alot of eyes across the continent. We now see you for who you are and baby girl is only getting started. You haven't seen nothing yet from her.
