I've never watched any snippet of this show where Hoda actually has a grasp on what is going on. She just reads her lines girl, and then makes some stuff up when she can't see the prompter.

Jinkx channels Judy Garland. Natasha Leone. Little Edie. A BRILLIANT performer. Camp drag is my favorite genre of my favorite artform. Bendela is absolute perfection in drag. Never a hair out of place, a consummate professional.

I love them, but it was painfully obvious that none of this was improvised (except for maybe the last scene). The performers were running to the correct props/backdrops before the scenes were even communicated. And it clearly wasnt "random" considering the exact props were already arranged in the correct order... and even the anchors were reading the selections from the prompter. It was still hilarious though.

The performances themselves were improvised, but the prompts were preplanned, kind of like Whose Line.

@@LegionIvoryIn Whose Line, the actors aren't told the prompts in advance. It's clear these two knew the prompts. They were grabbing the correct props and going to the backdrops without any hesitation. They also knew when to pause for each other. This felt rehearsed... except for the last prompt when the anchor added the bit about decorating the tree. That clearly threw them and suddenly they were talking over each other and ad-libbing.

@@JustinHanksI think it was improved by them. Watch it again they don’t move until it is done. But clearly these were handpicked for them as the anchors read some of them before they appeared. Plus they selected impressions that they are known to be good at. So I feel like it was improv for them but was characters they can slip right into easily. The aunts one is more vague so that is probably why it felt more off the cuff. It was the only non celebrity impersonation so had to think for a second what sort of character to do.

Yeah that's sooo "random" to give them impersonations which they did on Snatch Game and won for. Don't treat people like they're stupid. Just ask guests to do impersonations you want to see.
