The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross diesel is no longer on sale new but you can get a good deal on a used car. The car originally came with a 1.6 diesel along with a 1.3 DDiS diesel. However, in late 2017 the 1.6 was discontinued since it was expensive and found few buyers. The S-Cross offers a nice mix of good space, practicality and offers a strong build as well. Here is my video in emglish.

I own S-Cross for close to 5 years now. (Will complete 5 years in Aug 2020). It's a wonderful and beautiful car. But, the headline of this video is unwarranted. No where in the video, it talks about why this is better than Brezza. So, bringing that angle in the headline was just to capture attention of viewers rather than real purpose. Could have been avoided such headlines.

Under powered noisy engine.... Also turning radius s quite bigger than other SUVs..... Better u take duster or even Nexon, Ecosport used...... Better than s cross...

Maruti missed a golden chance to bring a performance crossover which was practical as well. Going with the puny 1.3 diesel for a car this big was stupid from the carmaker. All they care about is volumes and fuel efficiency. Now the scross is without a USP and has been usurped by the competition.

U always relates things with Swift. But for me, being a new Swift owner of a year now, few drawbacks I suffered from r : I) Too much road noise in the cabin, 2) loose confidence at around even 80s' on slightest undulations as found on some State Highways, 3) Jerky ride on bad patches may be due to stiff suspension, 4) Persistent tension of under body hit due to low ground clearance. Please reply, if i m correct or this much is acceptable in these segment cars.

Firstly what u mentioned are all correct in this tin cans.. being used Hyundai grand i10 for 3 years i switched to baleno which is a worst decision made by me..such a worst bulid quality.. expect mileage and back seat comfort nothing is good in this cars..

1. Yes road noise is there inside the cabin. Its bcoz of the stiff suspension. 2. I don't agree with this. Considering the weight and dimensions of this car. This car just out plays any other cars of the same segment with no doubt. I have driven this car around 40k. I never felt like driving a compact suv. It just handled things like a sporty hatch.. 3. Yes it has stiff suspension.. At low speeds you might feel the jerks.. Its bcoz the suspension is on the firmer side. But when the car is fully loaded, i didn't feel jerky.. I think tyre pressure might do the trick here.. 4. I have driven my car across many bad, patchy and uneven roads. I never ever felt like that.. Stiff suspension made sure u never hit the ground.. The number (180mm ground clearance) may bring a doubt on its ability. But believe me. Its just a number.. U can go through any path holes or speed breakers with confidence. Above all this, This cars handling at high speed is just phenomenal. I have driven all the other cars of the same segment and no other car handled well like s cross.

I am currently facing a huge problem. Please need suggestion. I have brought my Venue BS4 model on 19th march 2020 from jabalpur M.P. From 20th lockdown started here (due to early corona cases). I have received insurance only and temporary RC at that time. Registration is pending till now. At present, Jabalpur is in red zone. Thus the Hyundai show room is closed. Whereas RTO (is open, being an govt. organization). I have called to the showroom for Registration documentations if they are working on!! They told me... Showroom is closed... Thus any such work will be done post 17th May 2020. Now, within this the 10 day extension by supreme court to sale and register the BS4 vehicles will be over (as per old notification). And the RTO is open too now..... But my registration is not being done due to lockdown..... Thus can it be a problem... For my BS4 vehicle to get registered after 17th May 2020. Please provide solution. Thank you.

The service of both Hyundai showroom of Jabalpur Anmol and Prestige is pathetic. That's y now I avoid buying Hyundai cars though some are good. We'll all the best for your experience, me too faced this irresponsible behaviour of both Hyundai showroom for my previous cars.

I own S-cross and the worst part of this car is they share the same switches with swift and celerio! You're having 12 lakh car and feels cheap in some way! But its very great in terms of driving dynamics

S-Cross is by far the best build car from Maruti saddle way better than their top seller Brezza. Its got the best Ingress-Egress & very comfortable for 5 members of all age group of the Family + all 4 wheels Disc brakes for better braking performance. It lost because of its Crossover OR its bigger hatch look, High pricing, Poor low end tongue from 1.3 diesal engine & no rear AC vent. Maruti's should have priced S-Cross at 50-60K higher for length than all their variants of Brezza to stay in competition. But that 2 lacs+ price difference forced the customers to invest in market leader CREATA than buy S-Cross. All the above is in my Opinion only.

A used scross won't come anything less than 10 lacs if driven 40k km , if less than 30k km then around 11 lacs. Reason, the only 5star NCAP car from Suzuki in India.

Bs6 diesel damaging bs4 engines is a myth. Bs6 diesel has lower sulphur levels which can cause lubrication issues as in common rail diesel engines, the fuel also acts as a lubricant. To offset these issues, additives have been introduced so that the lubricity of the fuel is not altered. Check Indian Oil website for further details.

@@pantomath3837 hi pantomath it needs service on every 10000 km which cost 6000 -7000 And you can service at any authorized dealer If you looking for xuv 300 you will get power but no space s cross is mixed combination of everything
