I cried my eyes out watching this vlog and I think it’s because of how beautiful the family dynamic is. The soft and gentle mannerisms from Gavin with Colette when he’s reassuring her and fixing her hair when saying goodbye. It really is telling of how loving and vocal Shay and Colette are about their love with one another. It’s very inspiring and important to see for your viewers who one day wish to have a family of our own. There’s a lot of values we learn from you guys, and I’d like to personally thank you for them ❤️

It's crazy to think how most of us grew up with Gav and to see him venturing off to start a new chapter in his life is truly a beautiful thing to witness ❤️

Wow can't believe I'm seeing this. Literally saw Gavin grow up from when he was like 8. and now he's a whole 19 year old. It feels like yesterday that Logan was on his mission trip and missed the christmas special and now it's already gavin's turn. I’m not a religious person, but I respect you and your religion. So I’ll never experience this and couldn’t imagine my child leaving to do this. But I definitely understand why missions are a thing and respect him and others who do them! I truly wish Gavin the best of luck on his mission. Just seeing the title brought a tear to my eye. I Was 23 when I started watching...im 36 now! With an almost 5 year old daughter named Emmi (after yours truly)...and I already feel like time is racing way to fast. But now seeing this with Gav...it hits even harder and it feels like letting part of my family go😭😭❤️ thanks for Letting us be Part of it. So proud of the amazing young man he had become. One more thing.. it is such a beautiful thing to see the love and compassion Gavin has for his dear Mama. The love and respect he has for her comes through so genuinely. I started watching years ago, when brock was born and i was still young myself (almost 21 now) and I have cried this whole video, just feeling so proud of Gavin and how he’s creating his life for him now that school is over. And I just know he’s going to do the most incredible things whilst in Mexico. Shay and Colette, you have created such a beautiful, kind and loving family and I feel so honoured to have been a part of that for so long. On to the next chapter ❤️

Gavin has always had my heart. He’s just so sweet and adorable! One of my first memories of him was when you were dragging a tube in the snow of Idaho and the kids were taking turns I think. And Gavin’s little voice “is it my turn yet? Dad, can I go now? “ over and over. He was just so dang cute! Gavin will make us all proud. What a great young man you’ve raised.
