The key to the happiest experiences and the most beautiful impressions is just from the little thing in our eyes we take for granted. I like the reactions of the old man at the sunset. I wonder how the young boys with those glasses would feel if their parents bring them to the art gallery or a beautiful church with stained glasses or the tropical island. Even when you have the normal eyesight, it feels another life, looks more strange than seeing a heaven.

Me either. I knew that a kid in my class used to cheat when it came to coloring things the right way. Learned later that he was colorblind. Learned, even later than that, most colorblind people are male but not always. Learned after that some people just see in greyscale.

Gunawan Santoso I couldn’t begin to tell you “how” they work but I can confirm that they do work. To me the glasses made bright colors pop and catch my eye, which for a while made things kind of distracting seeing colors that I had basically never seen before. Sandhya S My personal color deficiency is pretty bad yet I can see things and know what color my wife would call them so I can tell you the color you see in things it just looks totally different to me. For me, basically I learned my colors from hearing other people say what color they were seeing and relating it to what I see. I still call things colors and get this deer in the headlights reactions from my kids, who think it’s funny to mess with me.

Like deafness, colour blindness isn't necessarily 100% in everyone with it. That said, even those who're completely blind to particular colours I'm sure can decipher them due to the previous association they had with the shades they _could_ see, and theoretical knowledge of colours and their placement on the spectrum.

Colors are honestly one of my favorite things. The right colors have the power to brighten up a day. Pink and purple skies... iridescent hummingbirds that come to our garden... the color palette of someone's home... It just brings me a lot of joy. What must it be like to live most of one's life without having experienced color? And then to suddenly be given the gift of seeing everything. It must be incredibly overwhelming ❤️

Each one hits so differently. I’ve seen the older guy video before where he’s just speechless and uncontrollably giddy and it was instantly understandable that a huge man could become a child again because he lived 50+ years of his life without typical color vision. But then these young kids instantly crying, able to name the colors immediately and being overwhelmed puts it into perspective. I can relate to an older man’s reaction because of my understanding of the passage of time. With the younger boys it was clearly a profound change but the lack of a relatable aspect made it almost more powerful to watch. Like, this thing they’re missing doesn’t take decades to spark overflowing emotion-it’s a big deal on its own. This really helped me remember to not take anything for granted.

Unfortunately, thats not how colour blind glasses work. They only work for mild colourblindness (even then, they only have a 1 in 5 chabce of working) by blocking out certain wavelengths that are perceived incorrectly by the cones in your eyes. In other words, you need to have all three colour cones for them to work. So if they can only see black and white, they have no cones. Which os very rare and... Extremely unfortunate.
