I’ve watched three videos so far with Pasquale Buzzelli’s video. Didn’t realize that personal belongings were collected and returned to survivors and/or family members in such a manner. Can you imagine the time and effort this relentless task would have taken. To be there when he opened the bag for the first time had to be an incredible moment.

Just goes to show how each volunteer/worker must have felt a deep respect for the work they were doing; handling, identifying, and cataloguing anything they came across. Such love and reverence for both the survivors and the ones lost.

"Can you imagine the time and effort this relentless task would have taken" Maybe you didn't know, but ALL of the debris was taken to the landfill where it was laboriously sifted through for body parts and bone fragments, finding an intact briefcase was easy, they found watches, rings, wallets.

@@Elevendyeleven the workers doing the sifting all wore hazmat equipment while they processed the rubble/remains. I’m talking about many days after the event. Obviously during the first crucial days after 9/11 the first responders who searched for survivors were much less protected. But those people weren’t the ones pulling artifacts out of the rubble. That part took months.

@@davidswanson5669 as soon as I made the comment I thought that I shouldve included all first responders and everyone who came after, but life is short and I moved on. Makes sense he didnt want to talk about it. The brain can take years processing trauma. I had a serious accident once and it took me several years to remember what happened. Trying to think about it to much until then can feel like a trauma in itself. Distance is needed. Some people dont have that luxury though, such as soldiers, leading to compounded PTSD.

@@melizmatea God has the right to let live those HE choses to let live. Those who died and believed in HIM and led godly lives are in paradise now. @@melizmatea HE is God. HE is all knowing, all powerful. HE is omniscient, omnipresent. One does not pray to "get HIM to do things". One must pray according to HIS will. The ways of the Lord are HIS to know, and for us to trust. In HIS righteousness, HE does ALL things well. And, I know these things because HE told us so. He used instruments in the form of human men to write these things down for all of us to study, meditate upon and obey. These writings of the Christian philosophy are known as the Bible. A friends husband was in the South tower, he was on the 95th floor when the plane hit, he called her 3 times, the last time he had realized that the plane had crashed below his floor and that he was trapped, he didn't get out alive, his body was found 3 days later on the ground, they said he rode the building down when it collapsed, 2 states away and ten years later as she pulled into her driveway a local police cruiser pulled in behind her, ten years after his death they had found and returned her husbands wallet to her, I imagine they will probably be finding things from the victims for a long time to come.
