Drywaller here. Not bad! Couple of tips: Don't forget to mix a little water into your mud for that first taping. Yours is just a little dry. Tape your butt joints first, then do your flats. That way you have less of a hump where they meet! :) Flex the knife and feather those edges to nothing -- that eliminates more than half of your sanding for later. Keep up the good work!

She mentioned all of that. Watch the whole video.

@@no_handle_required I did watch the whole video. The first coat, the one the tape was pressed into, was a little dry. And she did the flat joint before the butt joint. Not to critisize her; she does amazing work. Just some things I learned working drywall that I hope are helpful. :)

Hi Leah, a really great video as usual the drywall technique has only been around in the UK for 20 or 25 years , I have used it in several rooms in my house and had great results. As you said do not go cheap on tools you buy cheap you buy twice I have bought a wide selection of taping knives and and trowels usually the marshalltown Brand and some of them I have had for 20 years I always keep a bucket of water handy to clean the tools as I go. I watched some of the other Seejanedrill video’s on drywalling. You saved me a literal fortune! I fixed over 50 holes from a house rewire, plus drywalled 3 entire rooms. Following these tips, you can’t even see where I patched or taped! I dread to think what that would of cost had I got in a professional. I use to use the premixed, but once I had confidence from you “how to mix drywall compound” video, I found mixing the consistency I needed (ie thinner for the final coat) was easier for me… and cheaper. I would of also bought cheap tools, but followed your advice and bought decent ones. They were worth EVERY cent! Thank you and keep the awesome videos coming! Have a great day!
