IMO, this was before metallica acquired a tone they could call their own, and sounded a bit like Judas Priest. Not saying that's a bad thing, far from it. It just sounds that way to me.

***** Not always... for example the Doors always sounded better in a studio than live... But that's probably because Jim Morrison was rarely on the same planet as the rest of us... Live concerts are great when you're there, but no so good when you just wanna listen to the full song. Like Enter Sandman: I love the song, but I can only find the live version on google play, meaning the song I listen to on ny phone and the original are really different, and I don't like it that much...
