I've said it before, but it needs to be said again. The content, and video quality this guy pulls out is brilliant, yet, he gets mentioned in the same breath as TGE, Archie Hamilton etc. It's an injustice, deserves so much more recognition

I don’t think he gets put in with TGE, Archie or those kinds of KZfaqrs. He probably falls in just a hair above SOL, Supercar Blondie and Stradman, but right behind Shmee and JWW while still way above TGE, DDE, Archie. Although Shmee and JWW are totally different KZfaqrs, they’re both phenomenal. STG is right behind them and that’s a huge compliment.

Yeah... "collectors" with brand new shiny cars they never drive because of potential depreciation. Whenever I see someone call himself a "collector" and all his cars are max 3 years old can't help but roll my eyes.

Nice to see the front engine Porsches get some love. I had a 944 when I was in college, loved that car. Now it's sitting in a garage gathering dust for the last 10 years, gonna do a full restoration one of these days.

I raced in the Porsche Club of America Germany Region for a number of years. Yes, it's weird that there is not, at least 20 years ago, was not, a Porsche Club of Germany. I raced a 1985.5 944, and regularly was trounced by a 924. There were some fantastic cars that people would race: 911RSR (993), 924 Club Sport, 993/996 GT3's, and loads of 964RS's, 993/996's of different varieties, a few 993 Turbo's, 2 wheel drive, all wheel drive - it was just fun to see what would show up, and people would run the wheels off of them. I still have the magnetic number plates we used which have the PCR GR crest on them. We took a club outing to the Ruf factory, which was on my wife's birthday - boy was she not pleased :). We ran the Nurburgring when Sabine Schmitz was driving the ring taxi in-between waiting tables at the local restaurant - literally. She passed me once in a BMW M5, and managed to get changed back into normal clothes to walk into the restaurant, the same time as us, to wait on us. There are an amazing amount of Porsche's stashed away in small collections, and it's cool to see that Magnus gets what makes Porsches fun. It's definitely not always the exterior, but sometimes just a nice ride, cool interior, or something that else that not everyone has to love. They're all fun.

Saw Magnus at the Rennsport Festival in Sydney a couple of years ago and he had people going up to him and talking to him every time i saw him and he would always be having a good chat with them.

There was a documentary on Magnus on KZfaq that I watched a while back, & it was just amazing. The guys 'Made In America' rags to riches story is inspiring but so too his love for Porsches & driving them. I also love the way that he controls himself financially. He could own one or two hypercars, but instead loves having a large collection of usable, different cars that he can take out as often as he likes to enjoy. Im not much of a player but I employ the exact same attitude with my guitars. I have five of them with not a single one worth more than $500AUD. For $2,500 AUD I could have one, really good one, but it just wouldnt be the same as coming home to my guitars lined up on their stands along my living room wall, all unique. I ask myself, 'what would I like to play today' & then pick one up, a different experience each time. That's what collections are all about, & you should always collect what you can afford to not just buy, but enjoy.

As a restorer of armour and historical things and a lover of all things piston-based I am overjoyed to see a collector who has not removed ALL the patina (the vehicles story) then had it covered in the requisite 14 layers of clear lacquer which seems to be the thing these days... even with race cars? Magnus has a collection of vehicles which all look period... BRAVO that man, and shame on those others. This guy for sure has money... but happily he still has MORE sense. BRAVO 🏆

The 1999 997 Carrera was the Porsche that just hypnotized me when I saw it people who are Porsche guys weren't really feeling the intercooler. Its definitely gonna be my first sports car.

Great video, I love the way they are all slightly rough around the edges apart from that 964 !! ( wow ). He talks about driving them too which is good !! Glad he owns the 924/28/44/68 front engine ones too as they play a massively important part in Porsche’s history, didn’t notice any boxster/caymans though !! Good work Sam 👍🏻

jerry seinfeld once said in an interview regarding his passion for porsche: it doesn't matter how fast a car drives. what's important is how it drives fast. and i think this is the DNA of Porsche: you get an really clear feedback from the Car of the road condition and all the other stuff. really love the 930, 933, 964 , 933 n 966 Porsche Turbo & Porsche Generations incl. Porsche 64, 356 Coupe, Porsche 550, 928 GTS, 959, 993 GT1, 993 GT2, Carrera GT, 918 and yes even the Porsche Boxsters are really great.
