They didn’t put it on Super Nintendo version because he had departed the WWF & went to WCW

Not having Hulk in the SNES version is one of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen.
@samuelbaker79029 ай бұрын
When the Super Nintendo version was being made back in December of 1992 Hulk Hogan was not part of the WWF at that time he had left the company immediately after WrestleMania 8 in the spring of 1992. By the time Hulk Hogan came back in February of 1993 the Super Nintendo version they had already started making it. The Super Nintendo version came out in May of 1993. When Hulk Hogan made his return at WrestleMania 9 in April of 1993 it was then that they started making the Sega Genesis version of WWF Royal Rumble and it was not released until September of 1993. They started making the Super Nintendo version in December of 1992, Ric Flair left the WWF in January of 1993 a month later, that's why Ric Flair is on the Super Nintendo version and Hulk Hogan was not because he was not with the WWF company in December of 1992

As a WWF fan back in the days, I was mad on the decision of both these versions. I really want to create a Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair match but because they are console exclusive that never happen until WWE WrestleMania XIX.

Great series, but would appreciate the sound alternating from one half to the other. Hearing two songs at once is grating.

SNES was much smoother with gameplay. SNES graphics were smoother as well SNES had better sounding music Sega had deeper brighter colors I still own both games. Played the heck put of them both. I give the edge to the SNES version. Wishing that the rosters were maybe 20 wrestlers instead of 12

Well play WWF Rage in the Cage for the Sega CD if you want 20 wrestlers

Back in the day I read somewhere that Flying Edge cut a few corners in order to cut down on cart size. One was to just have the one body shape for every wrestler just with a palette swap, that's why the Genesis version of Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble swapped Yokozuna and the Natural Disasters for generic sized characters.

Why is everyone saying the SNES roster is superior, back then they all got same moves, only finishers that differs... Ex: Hulk Hogan is the biggest icons of wrestling and hes on the Genesis version
@VOAN6 жыл бұрын
This game was created in 1992 but released in 1993, the same year Hulk Hogan was planning to leave the WWF. It is said that because Hulk Hogan was only exclusive to the Genesis version, his feud with Ric Flair and Yokozuna in the few months he's still with the WWF were considered disappointing since both Ric Flair and Yokozuna were exclusives to the Super NES version. This means that the fans who want to recreate that same feud will not be able to.

I had both of these games, back in the day, and enjoyed them both evenly. Though, I do feel the SNES version has better sound. I actually, just recently purchased and received both of these games, both the SNES and Genesis version of Super Wrestlemania and the Genesis version of Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game, courtesy of ebay. I already had a copy of the SNES version of RAW so, no need for the Genesis version since they are the same game with no roster changes. Love these old school WWF games! So many memories of my buddies and me playing theses for hours.

Still have the Sega version. SNES had the better roster, wish they would have had Money Inc. together in stead of spliting them between games.

There is a give and take on both sides. One has brighter color here then the other has it there, it is like they took both games and divided everything between the two.

The SNES had a way better roster. I've played both versions and the SNES version is the best
@balljennings4 жыл бұрын
I think that's true in a sense but for some crazy reason the SNES version doesn't have Hogan but still has the Hogan fans in the audience! As a kid I wanted the Sega version cause of Hogan
@HighVoltageRockNRoll4 жыл бұрын
@@balljennings I agree the snes version should have had Hulk Hogan in it. The game was released in June 1993 so they could have had him in it. Both versions of Royal Rumble are solid don't get me wrong they are both good games. I just prefer the SNES roster over the genesis. Out of the two I would take Dibiase, Yoko, Mr Perfect and Tatanka over Jim Duggan, IRS, Papa Shango and Rick Martel. I actually prefer Royal Rumble over Raw to be honest and I like that game too. It's funny though that Raw has the same roster on both genesis and super nintendo.
@balljennings4 жыл бұрын
@@HighVoltageRockNRoll I would've liked the SNES roster but had Hulk Hogan instead of yokozuna and IRS instead of tatanka. Cause they were my least used wrestlers. That way I could have Hogan vs Flair and I could have money incorporated as a tag team. I used to play mostly tag matches. I want papa shango too but can't swap him for Mr perfect cause I loved him too

My final conclusion... Snes has the goat Ric Flair. Snes is your winer. Mr. Perfect and Yoko R.I.P however, Genisis has Hulk Hogan which many Hulk fans will debate. The Model is cool. His theme music is nice. Good vid.
