Seiko Prospex LX "Landmaster" SNR025/SBDB029 Unboxing & First Impressions!

The Seiko Prospex LX was released at Basel this year and so far there's not a whole lot of coverage on it on the interwebs. So today I am happy to bring you my first impressions of this gorgeous new, Spring Drive powered watch from Seiko with the reference SNR025J

Oh my God that Full metal square G shock. It's so Damn cool. The writings on the screen are so understated. OMG I'm so buying it.

I'm of two minds about G Shock squares. In daytime on the wrist, they are great. They look superb, are very hardy, and have useful features. But maybe I'm so used to analogue watches that digital display doesn't convey the same graphical indication of time, and if you're not looking closely, the time can seem ambiguous. Also, seeing the time in the dark is impossible unless the illuminator comes on, and there's not a reliable way to make that happen. Even if you push the light button, you're not guaranteed to hit it because in the dark and off the wrist, you can't tell if the watch is the right way up! I have a bluetooth square and as much as I love it, I keep going back to analogue watches.

I bought the same Full metal square black watch some 6 months back. I'm very happy with the display. It's legible at all times. Do give it a try bro. It's very underrated.

Use the rice paper to lift the box out of the outer box. That's actually why it is included.

Do you think the compass bezel could be swapped with the dive bezel from the SNR029? I don't really see the need for a compass bezel.

only in northern hemisphere Have the hour hand point towards the sun Then the GMT hand will always point NORTH Ajust the bezel accordingly

these watches are all great, but not sure if they work for my 6.25'' wrist. I prefer the LX Prospex diver vs the Grand Seiko spring drive diver though.

They are a little on the larger side so I recommend trying one in real life before making a purchase decision. Thanks for watching!

I have a 7” wrist and still unsure about my Tudor Pelagos. This would be even more difficult, putting aside the fact I wouldn’t pay that price

Nothing on those expensive pieces from seiko are stamped all hand assembled and I own grand seiko. Sbga031 this one has same exact details so. Nothing cheap on those watches

Budget not exceeding 1,000 euros. I have thought of the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600. I have also thought of the BOLDR ODYSSEY METAL BLUE (less known this brand). (These brands? SWC Diver BLACK 30 ATM -- MARC & SONS Diver MSD-028-1S, ARE YOU GOOD ???) Please, who contributes in this world of horology wisdom, what can you tell me? A greeting and thanks in advance. !!!

Great watch, but over 5K for a Seiko? Suggestion, if your going to hold the watch in "macro shots" please get a pedicure or ware gloves

omg what a difference in booklet, where was made box?? You wear watches, not warranty card, not box! you're sound like those guys who complaining about seiko bracelet clips! Enjoy!
