Welcome to the live broadcast of the Seili Osprey Project!
Situated in the heart of the Archipelago Sea on Seili Island in Southwest Finland, our live nest camera offers a glimpse into the lives of ospreys and various bird species that frequent an artificial nest situated approximately 35 meters high on a well-lit leading mark.
Please note that the camera's location may result in occasional power outages during storms and other factors, leading to temporary feed interruptions. Any issues with the feed will be promptly addressed.
The Seili Osprey Project is an initiative by the Archipelago Research Institute of the University of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences, commencing in 2006. Since 2015, the Archipelago Research Institute has been fully engaged in maintaining and funding the web camera and its connections.
The nest camera has been granted an exemption permit from the protection provisions concerning the osprey, in accordance with the Nature Conservation Act (VARELY/724/2020).
