@@Sugarist0 Spoiler kind of There's an extra chapter at the end of the manga that shows him at age 14, and he very much still likes her. They don't get together, obviously because Saki is 19 but he basically says he'll wait until he's old enough.

Kids that age have a vivid imaginations. I bet you could write something where everyday he leaves to play outside and its a different world played by characters in the show as influenced by something at school. Something mundane as buying eggs we just saw turns into a journey flashing in and out of his imagination and people he meets either play along or are just confused.

I'm about halfway done with the series but this absolute unit of a small child is probably my favorite character. I loved his little "Transform!" that he did, and then Junta comes in with the real transform and they do it together and it was just so adorable.

She stops doing that after Chapter 30-ish in the manga, and from then on, she basically tries as hard as she can to get the Shiriashi and Nagisa together. In fact, she gives Shiraishi some advice in this episode that becomes important in a later arc of the manga.
