The leader of her fan club was caught taking money. Selena and Yolanda (The leader) rented a hotel to talk about things, they were arguing and Yolanda pulled out a gun and shot her. Selena ran to the lobby and collapsed saying she was shot, when she was in the ambulance she dropped the ring given to her by Yolanda.

I think i'm going to gather everything that a man loves in a woman and put it in her". Seriously. Bhilithinn Selena was a true artist and a true lady, both on stage and off. As talented as she was, and as big as she became, she remained humble and genuinely loved her fans, and didn't go around with that "Do you know who I am" kind of attitude that's so common among the artists of today, who don't even have a fraction of the talent that Selena had. It's funny, but it seems like the people who are the most talented at what they do are usually the most humble, as well.

If it wasn't for Selenas passing, I'm not sure if JLo would be where she is today.

Nathaniel Anderson I watched that performance so many times. That guy ran up from behind her to try and hug her and the security jumped him and pulled him off her so it looked like an attack. If you watch closely he's smiling and excited and goes in for a hug or was probably going to touch her ok the shoulder and hug her from the front. It happened a lot in the Acapulco 94 show.

To this day I regret turning down tickets to her last concert at the astrodome. I was in high school and my friend Cherie asked me to come with her. I said no because I don't like Mexican music! Being African American all I grew up on was R&B and hip hop. Cherie tried to convince me that this girl Selena is different and you would Love her! I said no again and then she told me your loss! A few weeks later I saw Selena on the news about her being shot and in critical condition, and they were playing videos from that concert, and I was like damn I should have went!!!!!! 😫To this day Cherie teases me about that day for being a stupid ass. Ever since the moment I saw Selena on tv the day she passed I made a promise to her I'll always be her fan, I bought all of her "tapes" at the time and had lots of memorabilia of her. Love you Selena, rest in peace beautiful 💐❤️

I personally believe her death is the most tragic celebrity death of all time. That may sound crazy to some if you look at the celebrities who have passed away but what’s different about Selena is we only got her for a couple years that’s literally it. It’s not like most other celebrities that were famous for 20-40 years then passed away. We only got to enjoy Selena for about 3 years. Watching clips of her is hard because you just can’t help but feel so sad. She was such a kind hearted person she never saw the red flags with Yolanda and I believe to this day she would still be here if someone had went with her to meet with Yolanda or at least had a chance to be saved sooner. I truly hope Selena is resting in the utmost peace to this day

Within 5 months after Selena's passing, 745 baby girls in Texas, alone were named after her, and in one county in California, it was 1 out of every 100 baby girls. The name "Selena" was very popular in the nineteenth century, and she really re - popularized it. The name "Selena" is a variation of the name "Selene", who was the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology.

Selena's star ceremony was attended by more people than any other in the history of the WalK of Fame, and she was given an evening star ceremony, which is rare, and considered a big honor. The last person to get an evening star ceremony was Ringo Starr, who was a member of The Beatles, which shows you how loved and respected you have to be to get an evening star ceremony. She actually has 2 other stars - one on the South Texas Musicians' Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi, and another in front of the San Antonio Hard Rock Cafe.
