This video made my day. Also, I totally agree with Mark that if I hear the bass line to a better song within a song then I'll just go look for that song instead. Ah yes, of course. Selena clearly sang in a subtone because she is incapable of singing with full tone. That's why the rest of her discography is in full tone. And of course the mother is expressionless because Selena can't act, not because her character's husband is having an open affair and her daughter is incredibly distant (came home from school late, immediately went to her room after coming home, didn't eat dinner with them, and when she came to come check up on her she pretended to be asleep). Yeah, you're totally right. The obvious answer here is that selena sucks and none of that was on purpose.
