I have lupus and my meds don’t make me fat.

I have late stage Kidney Cancer and Acute Anemia and Tachycardia and I have become quite chubby. I hate it. Particularly the medication and hormones combined, in woman it can even moreso pack on the weight. Even if you you barely keep food down and are unwell alot. You know what I mean.. in the bathroom. It is frustrating and people think you far healthier and happier than you are. They also can completely miss how stoic and brave you might actually be underneath it all. 💔🥺

Methadone should be outlawed. People could be humanely weaned off their drug of choice over 15 days. Methadone … nearly impossible even w/ weaning. Just get it over with b/c you will feel bad for a year. Kratom in high doses plus ultram helps. Only those who really want off and w/ an iron will succeed.

Have you tried Suboxone? Although it's not like ones any better than the other. They keep people on it to long. If they would have started it at a higher dose and started tapering after week 1 I feel we'd had a higher success rate. But that's just my opinion. But that's from being a patient and the lab person doing the urine tests. I had to watch what doctor I went to because if my clinic I worked for, even though they knew my work ethic, how I was with the patients and I can get along with anyone. If I would have said that one sentence. "I take suboxone" they'd of turned and looked at me in a different manner. Even though they prescribed it. They know it doesn't change your disposition. You can't get high on it and be out of your mind, nodding off, slurring nothing in that character. But they would look at me in a different light. Sad but true. And the court systems 🤦🏼‍♀️ I won't even start on them. Shameful, now if you work for them and go by the laws then god bless you. But if you take offense and come after me over it. Then that just shows guiltiness.

@Timoss393 I know. Selena was in a dark place. But I have compassion towards her. How many of us have hurt the people who have helped us? How many of us have been unfaithful to God when all he has shown is his faithfulness, goodness, mercy, and grace? While Selena was harsh and dark, she changed. She's no longer who she used to be. That's all that matters.

@annastevenson9485 unfortunately, I have had the same experience with medicine for a similar diagnosis. It changes the voice, swells the face and causes weight fluctuating. It sucks but it keeps us “living” at least she’s doing it amazingly. 🎉

Well she takes meds so she doesn’t have a Lupus Flare-Up. My cousin does the same, he got diagnosed with Lupus when he was 7, now he’s 16
